First there was a clicking sound that the TV was making coming from the power supply or the T-Con board. So I replaced the Power supply and it was still doing it. So I put the old one back in and replaced the T-Con board and it stopped so I thought that fixed it. It makes plays the chime like its coming on but the screen remains Black with no picture or backlight.

Re: Samsung PN42D450A2D No Picture
check the fuse on the xsus board. its a surface mount or pico type probally should be designated on the board by the prefix f. could be something out on the vs or va voltages as well. had a 52 plasma Sammy in here the other day wouldn't show a pic but sound was good, fuse on the xsus had opened. it used a small agc type fuse though in a holder.

Re: Samsung PN42D450A2D No Picture
First suggestion, as I've mentioned to others, is to stop replacing parts until a thorough diagnosis has been performed...unless you want to continue wasting money. These Samsungs are all over the forum, and they normally have Y-Main or X-main issues when the "no picture" fault occurs. Do you have a digital multimeter?Last edited by capkid; 02-14-2015, 04:19 PM.

Re: Samsung PN42D450A2D No Picture
I'm a beginner, but I have a smiliar TV as you, with a similar issue. I do, however, recommend checking through my thread, as there are many great suggestions and tests listed within it. Hopefully we can both get our TV's back to normal.

Re: Samsung PN42D450A2D No Picture
I'd pull the X-main and Y-main to test the components on the heatsinks for shorts. This thread might be useful:
