    LG plasma 60PK250N no go

    Hi all.
This plasma LG 60PK250N acts strange.
PSU operates correct giving exact voltages both low and high voltages.
Y and X main no drive at all. All cold heatsinks. Power components measures OK.
No LED activity on logic board. It should flash in one Hz or so.
    Don't know what it detects.
Tried to activate testmode, shorting the testpads on logic, no LVDS, but it won't activate.
Tried another logic and another mainboard, no difference.
    What do you say guys?

Pot shot guess but what happens with the logic isolated from the x or y boards? I don't know the layout .

Nothing happens when disconnecting the ribbons between X / Y and logic.

disconnect power from x and y or check if M5V is shorted which is supplied to x, y and the logic. Since the logic is totally dead by 2 maybe 5v missing. Got any training guides?

All powersupply lines are OK from PSU. (as told in post #1)
Logic board gets proper power, get warm, local regulator +3,3V and +1,8V giving voltages within spec.
The logic isn't dead, the led is not flashing.

no worries, then i don't know.

if you don't have it, the 60pk750 training guide could be handy.

              Will check that. Thanks!
If memory serves me right, the flashing led on the logic means it recieve LVDS from mainboard.
But then it would be possible to start the testmode since it's not in need of LVDS.

I wonder what ctrl_en does , runs from ysus to ctrl board. and ctrl_on from zsus. they give levels when running 0.09v & 0.48V

must fix a lot of tvs just to have 2 ,60" logic boards laying around.

The other boards were actually for 50" sets. They are not perfect match and picture have timing issues. But still enough to verify.

Upgrading a Samsung ue55nu7096u with logic board from an ue55ru7105k -- good idea?
                          by ohren
I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....

Will I have a bricked logic board after reflow of the GPU v-core U8900 chip on my Mid-2012 15" Retina Macbook pro?
                          by korben_dallas
Hi everyone! I'm trying to fix my black screen / failed U8900 GPU v-core on my Mid-2012 Macbook Pro 15" Retinaby doing a rework/reflow of the chip (once I determine that's the real issue; but it likely is).

I've been disabling the GPU in NVRAM for a few years... but it's just time for a better solution.

I'm new to soldering but the only feasible way to fix this issue is to do something myself.

                          MY QUESTION:
I've been seeing some people (on this forum mostly) run into issues with the logic board needing a serial number or it being deactivated (?)...

LG 60PK550 Logic Control Board EBR63450301
                          by Yanleb
Hi all, I just want to share the repair of my 60PK550-UA TV set.

The TV set was powering on, just no image. After verification, nothing wrong on the YSus or ZSus boards. Nothing wrong on the main board either.

But I noticed that the LED was not flashing on the Logic Control Board. This is an EBR63450301. The LED is supposed to flash even with all the flat cables disconnected, with only the power cable attached.

All the voltages measured at the electrolytic capacitors on the board were good. From top left to bottom right:
                          C57: 3.30V
                          C61:...

Hi Guys, I desperately need your advice on this set.
When pressing standby to "ON" then the Panel has a pre charge flash and further no image. The audio works 100%. I have the TV plugged into HDMI input.
I measured all the main board voltages and they are all correct according to service manual. I then went to the logic board and put a wire on the "Auto" to generate
its own test patterns. This works, telling me that the plasma panels are ok. After removing the jumper we go to having a black image.
I cleaned the ribbon from the main to the logic board,...

                          Logic Board 820-00840-A Missing EDP_BKLT_EN
                          by mferna14
Hi dear friends., I am working on a Apple MacBook Pro A1708 , Logic Board 820-00840-A that has no backlight. The logic board powers on fine, but no display. After Checking on the backlight driver chip, I found that the EDP_BKL_EN is missing. And this Power Enable comes from the PCH. So does this means this Logic board cannot be repaired & brought back to life again? The resistance from GRD to the test point of EDP_BKL_EN is around is 0.66M ohms. R8442 (0ohms) is ok. Any suggestion/Tip if any would really appreciate.
