    Isis-42-913-led3d

Hi guys, I'm working on a tv right now and it's baffling me, the power was blown ( vestel 17pw25-4) so I bought and fitted a new one, now it powers up, the back light comes on for a second then it shuts down again ! I swapped out the inverter for a different one and the same fault is happening, there is only the main board ( 17mb65-2) and the t-con remaining, it has an lg led lc420dun panel in it , could this be faulty ?

Yes - there are more and more threads regarding faulty/damaged/blown bulb
LED strings - seems sometimes 1 bad led and protection shuts it all down.

Isn't there a way to override it or acknowledge it and carry on ?

Just for future info and people searching for things that bring them to this thread, I've seen a video where someone replaced a dead LED with a determined value diode to add the load the LED would have previously provided and the rest of the string worked.
You have to get a similar physically sized diode so the string fits in the normal position for this to work, and there was no visible difference from a distance.

Or perhaps you can apply the 'Reecyburger' stacking method to replace the bad LED...

Lenovo V15-IIL motherboard swap (in V15-IKB) shuts down when internal display is connected
                by Giggle2562
                Hello everyone,

I have a Lenovo V15-IKB that had a damaged motherboard. I replaced it with a motherboard from a Lenovo V15-IIL.

The board powers on, but it shuts down after about 10-15 seconds. This only happens when the internal display (LCD panel) is connected.

Here's what I've tried so far:
                • When the internal display is disconnected, the laptop works perfectly fine via HDMI.
                • The laptop shows an image on the internal display for a few seconds before it shuts down.
                • I tried swapping the LCD panel with a known good one.
                • I tried swapping the LCD cable

                Hello everyone,
I need help with my Lenovo Legion laptop. It turns on for a few seconds and then immediately shuts down. I believe this is a BIOS corruption issue.

                • VBIOS chip size: 16MB
Problem Description: The laptop was working perfectly. Now, when I press the power button, the keyboard lights up and the laptop powers on for just a few seconds, then it shuts itself off completely. After researching, I am convinced it's a corrupt BIOS.

I have a Huawei Matebook D15, MB DAH98PMBAB0 REV. B with faulty onboard RAM. Laptop starts but when loading Windows instantly gets BSOD's. Passmark Memtest shows multpile faults on test 11. Memory is itentified as 2 modules Samsung M471A5244CB0-CWE, which are available as standard so-dimm. Is it possible to desolder memory from such module and solder it on the MB? How to identyfiy which one on the MB is faulty?

Why doesn't current just bypass faulty capacitors.
                by Spudgun
Hello esteemed members. I appreciate that my question will strike some as being somewhat childishly simple, but it genuine perplexes me! I have repaired several laptops before by removing a faulty capacitor that was short-circuiting the motherboard, whereupon the laptop would then work. For me, it begs the question that, if the current can bypass where the capcitor was when it has been removed, why didn't it just bypass it when it was present and faulty,? I can't get my head round the premise that if the other side of the capacitor is connected to ground, then why doesn't the current simply bypass...
