Re: Panasonic LSEP1287 4 blinks
quick testing with components still soldered to board:-
D451 - shorted both directions - diode test function on multimeter
D441 - OK
IC771 - appears ok
D503 - shorted
D536 - OK
D522 ok
D534 ok
Q701 ok
D701 shorted
Plus the three pther FETS shorted.
I think this is uneconomical to repair

Re: Panasonic LSEP1287 4 blinks
Ahh right, thanks tw2005, I just set email notifications of when someone replies to a thread i have started.
Anyway, two panasonics have come up on ebay from the same seller with broken screens
TX-P50X20B and TX-P42G15B, would these have the same or compatible boards in i require ?

Re: Panasonic LSEP1287 4 blinks
Rjp63 - q661
Fu20 - d481
Dg501- q451
This is turning into something financially uneconomical to repair if this doesn't fix it

Isn't there a way to override it or acknowledge it and carry on ?

Isis-42-913-led3d
Hi guys, I'm working on a tv right now and it's baffling me, the power was blown ( vestel 17pw25-4) so I bought and fitted a new one, now it powers up, the back light comes on for a second then it shuts down again ! I swapped out the inverter for a different one and the same fault is happening, there is only the main board ( 17mb65-2) and the t-con remaining, it has an lg led lc420dun panel in it , could this be faulty ?

Re: LG 42PC56 fault
Hi guys, hope its ok to re-ignite an old thread ( seemed smarter than opening a new on)
I have a problem with one of the LG 42PC56, as i far as i can remember it went like this, I take the tv off a friend with a whole load of spare boards from an identical set with a supoosedley smashed screen, he had swapped out the PSU, z sus and Y sus, the Y sus did make a difference, on inspection the Y sus had a b,lown fuse and the hybrid chip is shorted out, now i put the original Y sus in and changed the Main signal board, the set then powered up and shut...

Re: Panasonic LSEP1287 4 blinks
OK so i figured the SOS signal is coming from this chip (pin 17 /SOS4_H) ?
So what signals would generate this alarm if missing ?...

Panasonic LSEP1287 4 blinks
Hi guys, So im trying to fault find a Panasonic 42" plasma - P42x20b, the 4 blinks tells me its a power board SOS problem, caps look OK, FET's seem to test ok, I have standby voltage, I think i have 15Vdc, Then it shuts down faster than i can measure anything else, i dont really want to pay 350 for a second hand boeard, thanks in advance.
