    LG 60PV400 display problems

Background on the set: Picked this set up from someone who was going to throw it away because it stopped working. Took it apart and checked PS for proper voltage and it checks out ok. It had no picture but had sound. After reading a few threads on here I reflowed the inductors on both Y and Z boards and now I have picture ONLY when the Z board is disconnected. The picture looks dim and somewhat fuzzy and has black blotches on the screen that slowly fade as the screen warms up. If I plug in the Z board then the tv will try to power on but shut down. I also hear a electrical buzzing sound from the Z board when it tries to power up.

Can anyone help troubleshoot this board or help bring this set back to life? I looked online for a replacement board and cant find one. Ill post some pics and video (if possible) of the boards and powering up of the set.

    Thanks

Sounds like a fault in the z board. Check to see if the mosfets are shorted. Use a multimeter on continuity setting and see if you get a beep between the pins. Also check the three resistors grouped together on the right side of the board and make sure they read correctly. I had a zsus that blew and had several resistors in a row that were blown.

checked the fets as you said and posted a picture of where I have continuity. The red indicated where the continuity was. Some were only on two points others on all three. The resistors on the right where checked for continuity also and the first one did not make a sound. The other two did.

Not much of a electronic intelectual but I can check voltages, resistance, etc. Let me know what you think.

It would appear you have a lot of failed devices. It would be good to remove all the "Q" labelled devices (e.g. Q123, Q456...) and check them out of circuit for shorts.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

          Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Samsung UN55H8000AF - No Picture, Working Backlight, Replaced T-Con Board
          by ermals
          Hi all!
I've recently run into an issue with my Samsung UN55H8000AF LED TV displaying no image. I've done quite a bit of research in terms of what could be wrong with it. Below are the steps I've taken prior to reaching out here for some assistance:

          1. I've tried replacing the T-Con board (BN95-01594A), twice and have still experienced the same issue with all the boards I've tested with.
          2. I've tried to remove one side of the ribbon cable that goes from the T-Con board to the panel and still not getting any image on left or right side.
          3. I've checked voltages...

problems with LG OLED 55EC930V, t-con board LC550LUD-LGP1
          by randaz81
I have an LG OLED 55EC930V.
The problem started a couple of days ago: tv working, but no video, only audio.

I opened the tv and I checked the parts. The mainboard has the red led on, which means that it working correctly. The power board supplies 24V correctly.

I focused my attention on the t-con board, LC550LUD-LGP1, I disconnected it to observe it carefully, no signs of damage. Then I mounted it again and I reconnected to the tv.

After this, the tv started to show a different behavior: it turns on and then, after few seconds, it turns off....
