someone gave me an lg lcd tv telling me it works. After i plugged it in, i found the reason it was given away. In the dark areas of the screen, red dots appear randomly like static or snow. Ive researched the issue and found that it is more common on plasma screens. Mostly its an over voltage on one of the boards requiring an adjustment to a pot. Problem is that there are none. I looked over the caps, i see none bulging or leaking. Has anyone seen this? (Man my phone hates this forum)

Woah. Hang on a sec. There is a loose piece of solder sitting on the right ribbon cable. I dont see where it came from, but it didnt solve the issue.Last edited by weaponepsilon; 12-15-2014, 12:48 PM.
