If i ever run into this I wonder what would clear rtv silicone would do? Considering the expanding and contracting thermal properties. If it ever let's go you could possibly attempt this.

That might be a decent alternative. I just used the ultra thin, standard super glue. You know, the kind you better not touch your fingers together with. Not even for a second.

I just came across this while looking through my old posts. Still watching the TV and the issue has never re-surfaced.
