lower part of picture shifted upwards LED TV

This is a UN50EH5000 bought in april 2013. Already failed!. A big chunk of the lower picture is shifted upwards and the part that is missing due this this shift is replaced with a part from the top...

There is only a tiny main board, and power supply and T-Con in this TV.

Everything is shifted including the menu.

Not sure if I am looking at a defective main board, T-con or even panel... My guess would be T-con.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Can you go into the user menu and see if changing the ASPECT RATIO makes a difference? (Sometimes "P.SIZE")

I will try to do that when back home.

I assume that if it changes with aspect ratio it's more likely to be the main board?

Ok, I checked it, changing the aspect ratio doesn't affect the fault. The size of the shifted block doesn't change (the cut remains at the same position).

If you're lucky,--It'll be the T-Con but I'm suspecting the Panel itself more TBH.....

              Ok, thank you guys.

I will try my luck then with a T-con. If that doesn't work --- trash can :-)

I'm sure someone could live with this fault. So don't chuck it straight away.
Would be a real shame if it is panel. More and more common these days. Either that or open circuit LED!

The LVDS lead has been known to fail (erratically!) on this era of Samsung sets.

If the original owner bought this with a credit card, they may have double warranty or extended warranty which would be good until April 2015.

I know when I buy consumer electronics, I use my credit card which has this feature.

thanks for your comments. I don't think there is any warranty on this item but it may be something I could explore.

This fault happened suddenly, one day it was good next day faulty. Nothing is sensitive to heat, cold or shock/vibration.

                        Hi There!
I'm trying to help my friend who owns a restaurant be just bought.
He has a very long LED strip running along all the walls and columns. The strip is attached facing down 2in above the floor, using a wall panel that ends in a metal rail that finishes the panel underneath
It's stuck using, I guess, the 2 sided tape that comes with the strip
The issue is that like 1/2 of the full length, including 1/2 one wall, another entire wall, and one column, flickers after 4 or 5 minutes ON. Particularly it flashes staying OFF most of the time and flashing ON for 1 tenth...

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
                        by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                        Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
                        by TR103
                        Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                        - sound and backlight, but no picture
                        - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                        - it keeps rebooting
                        - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                        - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                        - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                        - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started β€˜fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly β€˜new' Tcon board this time, and
