LC32LE440U Can't access service mode to reset lamp error. Manual says hold menu plus key in 3481. Presumably on remote (how else?) but TV doesn't see remote. No blinking LEDs on front. All back lights seem fine. On cold mornings TV can start and work 100% fine. But if turned off won't restart as (presumably) warmed up a little by then. Tried all listed optioned for entering service mode via side buttons and remote with no luck. Maybe next time it works I can enter service mode then? Would love to know how to get into service mode to reset on this model or find correct resistor on LED driver circuit board to jump. Any help appreciated.

Re: Sharp LC32LE440U LED lamp error service mode access
Hmmm... A small sign of life. The service manual says to enter service mode you hold menu and key in 3481. I assumed all on the remote. But using menu button on the TV and numbers on the remote turned the red led to green so I think maybe it did enter service mode. But without an image on the screen there's not a lot I can do with it. Hopefully a cold start will work to light up the screen in the morning and then I'll enter service mode. Again hopefully. -
Re: Sharp LC32LE440U LED lamp error service mode access
Hi. So, the TV finally came on and I was able to access the factory menu. Service model. By keying menu 3481 on the remote one after another. Not holding menu while keying the numbers as the manual seems to suggest. Problem is, there is no lamp error reset option anywhere in the factory menus. Should I just restore back to Factory a Reset?Comment

I do not see any error codes listing for this TV model. BTW, it uses LEDs for backlights not CCFL.

Re: Sharp LC32LE440U LED lamp error service mode access
Not all Sharp has lamp error code,
only those who is manufactured in Sharp Japan.
Here in EU we have Sharp lc32sh130,340 ccfl with no lamp error codes
because the PSU and Main is made from ......Vestel.
Seems to be a temperature-related failure you have
because it can work sometimes.Comment

Re: Sharp LC32LE440U LED lamp error service mode access
Wow, thanks everyone. So the reason there are no lamp error codes might be because it's not relevant to my model's design? Interesting. If it's a thermal issue, which does seem plausible, how do I proceed. New T-con board perhaps? Re software update: is there a resource? I put the file on a memory stick and connect via USB, right? Forgive my inexperienced but I am trying to learn. Thanks again.Comment

LC-32SH130 is not a Sharp TV. It is a crap Vestel TV with a Sharp logo glued to the front, under licence from Sharp Europe. Absolute junk. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Tom66: You're from my part of the world! I may be in LA now but, you can take the bloke out of Yorkshire... Any further guidance you can offer would be appreciated. Very frustrating to have a TV that seems fully functioning, if only occasionally, but that you can't rely on. No new news other than it starts perhaps one out of 5 days, presumably due to temperature. Cooler mornings it works but if I turn it off it will not come back on as I guess warmed up just enough by then. Ta.Comment

Re: Sharp LC32LE440U LED lamp error service mode access
Ah, but it is a trick. I'm actually just in Leeds for Uni... I am really a southerner at heart.
Since you fault is temperature related, consider using a hairdryer and/or a can of freezer spray to pin it down. LED backlights can also have intermittent failures, as we've seen on here before.
I seem to recall having an LC-32DH66E with a similar fault - it was intermittently failing to power on - it was a bad ceramic cap on the softstart pin of a buck converter IC.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Sharp LC32LE440U LED lamp error service mode access
Thanks. I checked all the caps first and none have visibly blown. Are ceramic caps different? Are they smaller? Perhaps I'm not looking at the right thing. I'm a novice at this but willing to get in there. I've replaced bad caps on other electronics items. Appreciate the reply (even if you are a southerner).Comment

Re: Sharp LC32LE440U LED lamp error service mode access
Ceramic caps can be -very- tiny. The one in my case was in 0402 format, which is 0.04" x 0.02". They are beige.
Thinking about it, it is probably not the same fault as mine would just occasionally get stuck in standby, once powered on it would work perfectly. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

by Ritchie_UkHi Folks
I am searching for a Sharp 32BC2K0 Service Manual
Sharp 32BC2K0 << Could be an "O" as in Orange or a Zero
Fault - Coloured "Bars" very thin all across the screen.
I would like tho get the values for the 2 Resistors and I believe a Missing Capacitor.
I would Like a Service Manual, that has the component values, and locations, as the PCB isnt that clear as for designations
Is there such thing as a Boardview for this TV?
I will Post the Photos in a second
Thanks

by Superbee_dadHello Sharp TV experts
Our Sharp LC-80LE642U displays one short one long flash error code which is a backlight error. I went into service mode and there were 8 lamp error counts recorded. I reset the count to 0 and did a reset. The last monitor error cause was 16 B00014639:12. 16 is the code for backlight error. I tried to power the tv up but went back into error mode.

by DynaxSCHi,
I have this board, where I have exchanged the LGA1151 socket. During testing I discovered, that the large PCIEX16 slot won't by no force work in x16 mode, but keeps to work in x8 mode only.
I tested this with GPU-Z, also with Render Test (but tried also Furmark and Heaven Benchmark - no effect).
Tested on Core i5-9600K as well as on an Pentium G5420 and MSI NVIDIA GTX1070 and 2 other cards, including RTX3060Ti.
Board architecture definitely allows x16 mode, as all 16 PCIe lanes are present between CPU and main GPU slot (nearest to CPU).
