    Vizio p50 HDTV20A

Hello, new to TV repairs and electronics in general. My Vizio 50 inch plasma TV from 2007 went completely dead save for the amber standby light. I was able to source a used power supply from a TV repair shop (a Sony power supply that was told is better than the LG that came with the TV). It still did not work until I bought and installed a main board. I now have 99 percent of the TV back. I have a vertical one inch line that runs on the left side of the TV. I was trying to decide if I damaged the PDP during the repair or if it is something else. The line appears to boot up white and then sparkles in areas changing into multiple colors. It does not affect the TV since it is localized within the vertical line.

Vizio E701i-A3 fixed but now has red vertical line
    by otaku_nut
Hi all, I tried searching the site for answers but I'm a bit over my head understanding some of what might apply and what doesn't, so please be patient with me. I used Freakaftr8's fix to remove the left driver board to restore picture to a black screen with sound Vizio E701i-A3. After doing so, I now have a large red vertical stripe down the center of the screen. The fix did require getting another t-con board from online, I ordered it before I knew about the mosfit fix for the old t-con board. I have tried cleaning the cable connections to the t-con board. I swapped the cables going from...

Vizio M65Q7-H1 Red Vertical Strips fixed by tape blocking LC1 signal to half of the panel

    Failure Symptom

No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.

    Where is the short?

Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

Having recently fixed another Vizio with similar symptoms that was a shorted ESD diode array ( link ) Probed the ESD diode array but...

VIZIO M60-C3 Can the vertical line be fixed?
    by tmhobadcap
I am trying to help my friend to fix his Vizio tv with a vertical line on the screen. The line is on the right side. It is blue/purple on the right side starting from the top. But it only goes to about 3/4 of the screen height (not to the bottom of the screen). It is very obvious when the screen is dark and it is hard to be seen when the screen is bright. Please help....

    Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line
    by TrueSword88
    Hi all.

I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.

    Hoping to fix...
