So I picked up this 65 inch on a trade and figured I would see it I could score this repair. I remember on a older lcd vizio there was a component on the main board that caused this same issue. Any help in the right direction would be golden.

Re: M3D650SV White Vizio Logo No Power
New question. Does anyone know what the readings should be on the big ics on the mainboard? Also forgot to mention the power supply was replaced and the tcon. Leaves mainboard and Led Driver board.Comment

Re: M3D650SV White Vizio Logo No Power
There are 3-pin Voltage regulator ICs on the main board that you should check and report the readings in the format as shown in this thread:

Re: M3D650SV White Vizio Logo No Power
Ok what setting should the meter be on? I so do not want to fry anything. And im rusty with my skills. Even tho I removed a fuse off a tcon last night and put it on the other. It was blown visually so that's how I knew to change it.....Different tvComment

Re: M3D650SV White Vizio Logo No Power
I am not sure what the scale of your meter is, the typical voltages on those regulators will be between 1.25~5VDC range, just do not let the probes slip on you!Never stop learning

Re: M3D650SV White Vizio Logo No Power
Ok here we go!!!
Location U35
Pin#1 (11.85)
Pin#2 (0.03)
Pin#3 (1.0)
Location U9
Pin#1-3 all 1.
Location U3
Pin#1-3 all 1.
Location U5
Pin#1-3 all 1.0
Of course that was directly what the meter read.Comment

Re: M3D650SV White Vizio Logo No Power
Meter set to 20VDC scale as shown in your picture?
1.0 sounds like it went over the scale, >20V.
That is not right.
Can you also read the numbers on the IC so we can tell what they are?

"Location U35

Pin#3 (1.0)"
This is 5V regulator (7805 series).
Pin1 is the input pin and it does have 12V input, pin 2 center pin (same as big tab) is the GND pin, pin 3 is the output pin which should be 5V, I do not know why it shows 1.0 on your meter.Never stop learning

Re: M3D650SV White Vizio Logo No Power
Could it be the one with the crazy numbers is bad. And the rest have nothing so its just showing a one. Correct me if im wrong with my understanding. Big tab up, left pin 1 center pin ground and right pin is 3?Comment

Re: M3D650SV White Vizio Logo No Power
"Big tab up, left pin 1 center pin ground and right pin is 3?" That is applied to that big regulator U35 7805 only.
That 7805 should definitely have 5V at the output pin.
The small one see the PDF:

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by PantherDaveHi all!
I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅
I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

by sam_sam_samI have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump
One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy... -
