Glossy vs Matte TV Screen

I just want to know what TV specification indicates if the screen has a glossy or matte fimish?
I have a Vizio 42" TV with a matte finish and my sister has a similar 42" Vizio with a glossy finish. I like hers much better. I'm buying a new TV now and want I it to have a glossy finish but I don't know what specification to look for.

I guess it's preference but I prefer matte screens myself where possible. Plasmas naturally excluded due to the glass panel. The only way to be sure would be to see an in-store demo model.
