Samsung PN43D450A2DXZA strange rainbow horizontal line only visible on whites.

    Hey all!

I just recently fixed this by replacing the Xmain and I upgraded the firmware as instructed on Samsung's website.

The panel looks fine but I noticed when it transitions to white scenes at the top right corner (Ymain side) there is a very faint but noticeable 2-3 pixel width horizontal rainbow line that only shows up in white near the top of the screen and it only goes about halfway across.

Is this a sign of a Y buffer failing or is this panel? The TV has very low hours but as we all know these newer slim Sammy plasma panels suffer from poor construction.

I tried to capture the affliction as best as possible so here it is!

I think it's panel because if it was Y buffer then the horizontal line would not have stopped almost half way, but would have covered the entire horizontal length of the screen?

Guess it depends on if the buffer IC has not fully failed yet. If it is panel then I will run it till it dies.

Adjusted the va voltage to match spec, lowered the vs voltage from spec (207) to (204)

        Rainbow line is no more!
