Samsung LE26B350 (F1W) white third of the screen, the rest has the colors off.

I will include some pictures, what i would need is pointing in the right direction (some keywords to further search for). Don't wanna make you guys do all the work

The OSD menu is also very faded out. Sometimes it remains on screen for a while, as if it were a burn-in problem. Sorry that i don't have any pictures of that, i will get some if necessary.

If this is an AUO optronics filled Samsung panel, then that would be a AS-15 gamma chip failure on the T-Con.

Is the blank section on the left side of the screen the OSD sitting there or is it just the screen itself?

Take the back off, snap some photos of the boards if you could please!

The left side is always white. Attached a photo with the OSD showing too. I will need to get a way better camera than what i have to post usable pictures of the board though...
I will do it in the next couple of days but any preliminary piece of information would be greatly appreciated.

ok, possible T-con failure altogether, but I would be prepared for panel failure as well.

When you get it apart and photos of the boards, someone here if not me can direct you on what to check next.

My guess, bad panel. This is the first generation I believe with T-con on the bottom of the panel, same for tab bonds, so water damage can be a possibility.

I opened it up, it seems there was a leak in the lower left corner of the T-con board. It was indeed at the bottom of the panel. Some ICs had corroded pins, cleaned that up with some isopropyl alcohol. Had to rebuild one of the pins as i was getting a fully white screen after the initial cleaning. The show stopper was that some very thin traces that lead to the ribbon were also corroded. There is a 2 mm portion of PCB right before the ribbon that is not coated in lacquer. That's where the traces got interrupted. I guess that's that.
