I bought a new main board for this VIZIO SV422XVT...

I have had the problem with this TV where the Vizio logo flashes orange/white and the TV won't turn on. So I bought a new Main Board for it.
I installed it but the TV still won't come on. The logo isn't flashing anymore. It just stays orange.
Is there something I might be missing about this? Is there something I must reset or some procedure I should follow to installl the board correctly?
Does it matter that I don't have a coaxial cable hooked up? Could be that the TV is 240Hz and so less common? All of the numbers on this new board are identical to the old one. With one exception.
    Old: 3642-0812-0150(8A)
    New: 3642-0812-0150(8C)
    Photo Old board attached.
    New board purchased: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vizio-TV-Mai...item417eeccf92
    I'll appreciate any suggestions.

sound like an bad main board, check all connection, and plug in the power cord again. all Vizio smart TVs I ran across does the orange and white flashing and then remain orange. Then turn white when the power button is press.

another bad main board most likely.

My general rule with these things is that if the symptoms / problem changes when you change a part (but doesnt fix it) chances are both new and old part are faulty! (i have had this a fair few times come to think of it...).

In this case, the fact that the symptom has changed but not fixed, i would suggest the new board is also toast

Ok, thank you. I started a return to the seller on Ebay. I'll ask them to exchange it for another new board and try again. If they agree I'll post back with new install results.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
          by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

          Assuming...

LG 55NANO77SRA TV – Menu scrolling by itself even after removing button board (Main Board EBU66792103)
          by ygorsan
          Hi everyone,

I’m looking for help with a persistent issue on an LG TV model 55NANO77SRA, which uses the main board EBU66792103 (also used in LG UQ80 and NANO75/NANO80 series).

          🧩 Problem Summary:
          • The TV keeps scrolling through the menu or selecting items by itself.
          • I removed the physical button board (the entire panel with power and volume buttons) and also disconnected the flat cable (CN202) from the main board.
          • The remote control is not in use (batteries removed), and the TV still shows the same behavior.

(SOLVED) - ONN 100012588 No Power, Then Rebooting After Main Board Change

Issue: No Power, Then Rebooting After Main Board Change

Short answer: replace main board and power board
Technical answer: replace main board and Q306 & Q307 on power board.

          Long answer:

TV wouldn't turn on. Power switch was fine which means the main board isn't processing the power on signal. Replaced main board. TV turns on now but randomly reboots. Bad main board? EEPROM? Tried to pull main board and got a shock touching the corner of the board. That's weird. C334 (450V 10uf) capacitor is still holding a high charge....

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?
          by cheeky2
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
          by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...
