    lg 47le7900 main board

    Hi

My tv comes on the menu displays etc . But when I connect the hdmi cable or the scart the tv display states no signal.

When I do connect the scart from the dvd player I get sound but no picture(but I do get the lg logos stating no signal).

Has anyone come across this problem before, before I change the main board I was hoping to fix the main board?

    thanks in advance

its on the main board, I simply followed the prints from all the hdmis usbs etc and they all went into a main chip. hope that helps

You are aiming to heat the solder balls that connect the chip to the board in a controlled manner up to around 230c to get them to melt and remake any broken connections. There are many videos on YouTube to give you an idea of the different ways to achieve this, from shop a bought BGA rework station to home made stuff and there is at least one member that uses a gas stove to reflow.
I spent many hours with a friend setting up my station, then many more hours practising on scrap boards. It is not a job I would do with no experience.
What's your skill set and what tools do you have ?
