My neighbor left me this TV because it was supposedly broken, all I knew about it was that there was no visible damage on the LCD panel itself, so I decided to give it a whirl. At first, I got the 10 blinking lights error; when I looked it up I found that it meant that one of the boards on the back was likely failing.
First, I replaced the Main Board TNPH1006 2A; after that, the blinking light went away. Now it would turn on, seem to be operating normally, but even though the backlight came on, there was no picture or sound, and it didn't seem to respond at all to the back panel buttons (other than Power).
Next I tried replacing the T-Con Board 6870C-0402C, the LG 6917L-0082C LED Driver 3PHCC2002D-H, and the Power Supply Board TNPA5608 2P (which came from a TC-L47E50, but from what I understand is compatible with my unit as well). None of those board replacements changed anything.
I tried factory reset using a third-party remote, which I can only assume had its Menu button programmed correctly because holding it down along with the Vol-Down button caused the set to reset (presumably back to factory settings, but without picture I can't tell the difference).
I'd really like to solve this little mystery of mine (and get something out of my $100+ parts investment) - does anyone have any ideas of what to try next?
