Samsung UE46C7705 t-con or panel failure?

    Hi all
I need you guys to help me diagnose this one.
It should be a t-con or panel failure.
I swapped the mainboard with another set, and the result are the same.
I hardly think the PSU could do this, output voltages are stable.
According to owner the set was OK in the evening and the morning after bad.
He says the panel was not hit and there are no signs of it.
The pattern flashes up and down repeatedly, see attachment.
One last thing: If pulling out LVDS cable between t-con and mainboard, the pattern is gone (that's why I tried another mainboard).
    Thanks for any advice.

    Looks like panel to me.
Did you try running with only one of the ribbons installed in the T-con? Any change in picture?

Can you see the ODS? Enter the service menu and run the test patterns if applicable.

No OSD possible. Audio is OK.
I have not tested with only one ribbon between panel and t-con yet.

I had a set with similar symptons which turned out to be a bad T-con.

In my instance, the TV booted up fine, all sound worked but nothing on the screen but a similar pattern to yours would constantly flash on and off an otherwise black screen...

My TV was a UE40C6540 though - different Tcon.

It turned out to be a bad t-con. Proved by swapping with another working set.
But, I can't find any standard Samsung article number on the board like BNXX-XXXX, I don't know how to adress a new one.

                That's surprising, maybe low VGL(VOFFE) or VGH(VONE) on T-con?

                  Is a T-con board repairable?
I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

It really depends what is wrong with it... Personally, i dont bother repairing them. For me the risk of a bad "repair" which could cause damage to the panel is not worth the cost of replacing them...

Usually the T-con is the cheapest of the boards in a TV when you are trying to repair so again; not worth the risk IMHO.
