    Panasonic TH-42PV8AZ with no STB_5V

I got a Panasonic TH-42PV8AZ plasma here that does not power on at all. Power switch is on, but there is no standby light and I measure on output of the power board and there is no STB_5V which would explain why there is no standby light. I measure on the pins of microcomputer IC501 for the power board and get the next voltages:

    pin 01(VDD) - 5Vdc
    pin 02(VSS) - 0Vdc
pin 03(XIN) - waveform look good on scope
pin 04(XOUT) - waveform look good on scope
    pin 06(RST) - 5Vdc
    pin 07(STB_PS_ON_H) - 5Vdc
    pin 09(STB_5V_ON_L) - 2.9Vdc
    pin 20(STB_5V_OFF_L) - 5Vdc
    pin 21(AC_FAIL_H) - 0.6Vdc
    pin 23(AC_DET/F_STB_H) - 0Vdc

I don't see any other pins on IC501 that could influence the STB_5V. At pin 9 there should be 0V(as indicated by the L in the pin description) to switch on Q521 and Q537 to get STB_5V at the output of the power board, but instead there is 2.9V. Any ideas or somebody come across this before?

Do you get a 50/60/100/120Hz square wave on the AC_DET line?
If not, use a bit of freeze spray on the module that generates that signal (it's the board with two optocouplers) - spray the primary side. Does TV power on?

Hello Tom. I don't get any square wave at AC_DETECT pin. Attach is photo of the power board from the top. The board don't have modules like I have seen with other Panasonic power boards

Do you have a schematic for this board...?

I replaced microcomputer IC501, but still no STB_5V. Luckily I now have another TV here with same power board and can compare voltages. Makes life easier when you have a another board to compare with

The reset capacitor was the culprit. TV working now

Which capacitor was that? Reference number?

The capacitor is in the reset circuit for IC501, the micro of the power board. The reference number is C519

                      by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

Problem with PANASONIC CF53 laptop after changing BIOS settings
                      by AquaMan Ua
Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...

                      Hey,

                      I have this subject TV and when I plug it in I don't get a picture, backlight or sound. The remote and power buttons don't seem to do anything. I've metered the signals on the following after plugging in the TV;

                      Good day,

I have tried to remove BIOS supervisor password from Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 mk1. Model number CF-33AENABTG, unfortunately I don't have any other info.

I read the BIOS using afuwin, edited it and tried to flash new edited BIOS using afuwin. Unsuccessfully. Afuwin showed "Error: Problem erasing flash." starting with 0x00040000 and stoped. Then I tried many other options to flash BIOS from Windows without any luck. Finally i rebooted the device - and no post. Afterwards I have read the corrupted bios chip (MX25L12873F) using EZP2010 programmer....
