    65pfl9708s no HDMI5 in menu

    Hello everyone!

I recently had to replace the SSB in my Philips 65PFL9708S/12.
Fortunately, I managed to find a board with the exact same part numbers:
    • 3104 303 54946 B
    • 3104 313 66186 B

The TV works fine after the replacement, except for one issue: the “HDMI 5” input no longer appears in the menu.
I could live without it, but on this model HDMI 5 is the only port capable of handling 4K.

Here is what I’ve already checked:
    • Updated to the latest firmware (173.67)
    • Double-checked both rows of Option Codes — they match the original board:
      • 33347 04648 52943 00707
      • 63408 65202 24636 00000
    • Changed Display Type to 432 using the remote
    • Entered all 12NC codes in the SAM menu

Has anyone experienced the same issue?
The 4K upscaler (Novatek NT68361) is functioning, and Ambilight works too (it’s on the upscaler board), so HDMI5 should be operational.
With the previous SSB, HDMI5 worked normally.
The only difference I noticed is that new SSB was from 65pfl9708s/60(according to Type in SAM) but I have 65pfl9807s/12.

Sorry for the confusion, there is a typo in the last sentence — it should be “I have 65PFL9708S/12.” So the only difference is /60 vs /12 only.

I do not see any option to change number of USB or HDMI ports in SAM.
Also I guess 12NC numbers does not really mater, the features are higly likely controlled by Option Codes.

Ok, so far I’ve “resolved” it in the following way:
              • got a high-quality HDMI cable
              • Enabled HDMI-CEC on the Android TV box

Now I can turn on the TV using the Android TV Box remote, and the TV automatically switches to HDMI5. However, the HDMI5 option is still missing from the TV’s Source menu. If I switch to HDMI1, there's no way to return to HDMI5 except by powering the TV off and on again.

The repair took quite a while, so I’m not 100% sure whether the previous SSB behaved exactly the same, but I believe the HDMI5 option was present in the menu before.

Looks like I just have to live with it.

TV Samsung UE55HU8500L (2014) – service menu + firmware reflashing advice needed
                by Robby-Gr
                Hi all,

I’m trying to recover a Samsung UE55HU8500L (curved UHD, 4K model from 2014) after replacing the panel. The new panel is a 55A1UU8EH, which produces excellent image quality — very close to the original.

However, since the swap, the TV enters a boot loop (Samsung logo → restart) unless I enter the service menu and perform a reset.

The service mode had been previously modified — possibly by a technician or during the panel swap — and I suspect some key settings are mismatched for the European (Greece) market.

                Additional issues:...

                Hello,

So I was referred here when I made this poste over on AVForums: https://www.avsforum.com/threads/loc...lg-tv.3257234/

To summarize, this is a commercial TV and I can't get a menu of any kind. I know the overlay is working because when I change channel, adjust volume, turn on sleep timer I do see text. But I have not ever seen the user menu nor the installers menu. I've tried a bunch of remotes(more info on the AVF post) and tried every button...

Philips 58PUS7805 Menu working but no/weird picture from video sources
                by Ierwin
                Hello everyone,

I got a 58pus7805 that shows some weird behavior.
The menu and remote work fine and the picture is looking crisp and flawless while navigating the menu.
However, when a video source is displayed the screen either goes solid green (HDMI), solid black (SAT TV) or shows some fragments on mostly green background (AVI Playback from USB).

I tried to reinstall the firmware through the menu which was rejected saying it already had the latest version.
I managed to install the latest official firmware by holding the control button while plugging...

EIZO CX270 - No signal but Backlight and Panel works, logo works, admin menu works. OSD doesn't. What?!
                by vf fa
Hi, so i guess I´ll have to make a new topic here, as i browsed through hundreds of other threads but couldn't find a solution to my problem yet.

I got a EIZO CX270 from a friend. He said it doesn't work anymore and wont display any signal or take any OSD inputs. Well, as an aspiring photographer I couldn't say no, could I? Thought it was an easy game, replace a bad cap and have a working monitor. But nooope, it wasn't supposed to be this easy.

So let me start with the problem description. I'll try my best not to skip anything so this might get rather long.
