    Repair attempt Philips 55OLED804/12

    Hello,

I bought a SH Philips 55OLED804/12 TV with known defect in an attempt to repair it for personal use.

The symptoms when bought: Philips logo appears then tv turns off

    Things tried so far:

    1. Powering it on: Philips logo shows on the screen, sometimes with some minor artefacts then shuts down. Red status led flickers rapidly into two batches then repeats
    2. Put it in recovery mode by pressing joystick down then plugging it to mains: The tv shows the logo then shows the android animation along with some minor artefacts on the screen then powers off. Red status led pulsates slowly
    3. Tried to unplug the T-CON and check if led status changes with no luck. Red status led has the same behaviour
    4. Tried Firmware on USB with no luck. The tv does not pick up the firmware
    5. Tried NVM.eed file found on this community with no luck. The tv does not respond when with USB plugged in
    6. Cleaned all connectors with isopropyl alcohol, checked for swollen caps

Next things i would have in mind to do:
    1. Measure some voltages on the PSU but i did not find any schematics yet.
    2. Locating and replacing the EMMC that store the firmware. Need to locate the dump files or trying to recover them from existing.

Do you guys have any other opinions or remarks? Thank you

    download and extract.
ready USB Stick small size as you can, formatted FAT32 MBR Mode.. MBR mode most important
copy 1.eed on USB root and rename it to NVM.EED, if every things fine TV will start at Factory mode
delete the file from USB Stick and copy 2.EED and rename it to NVM.EED and flash it
take the USB and delete the file again and copy 3.EED and rename it to NVM.EED and flash it... this last step to get out from Factory mode

Thank you. I will try your solution tomorrow. I might have missed the MBR mode on previous attempts, this time i will make sure to format the USB(4GB) to FAT32 MBR. Does it matter if i use USB1 or USB2 port on the TV side?

I think i managed to follow you instructions and these are the results:

          1. TV displays Philips logo -> Software upgrade in progress -> Factory Mode. Ambilight turns on, the screen flickering still happens in this mode.
          2. TV displays Philips logo -> Software upgrade in progress -> Factory Mode. Ambilight turns on, the screen flickering still happens in this mode. (Identic to first step)
          3. TV displays Philips logo -> Software upgrade in progress -> Android animation then shuts down. The screen flickering still happens in this mode. (Back to "normal")

You mentioned to flash the 2.eed and 3.eed on the USB stick. Is that any different than copy and pasting to the drive? Also? It's .eed or .EED?

Later edit: Tried both extensions and both USB ports, same results. The nice part is that in Factory mode i have HDMI input but the image still flickers

any way don't play files any more, open the back of the TV. and disconnect all cabel and clean them 2 LVDS 4 Ribbon cable and the EVDD cable between PSU and T-CON... be sure there are no crack at solder points,

to who want to use the files.... when play any of them at time the TV restart after showing update in process USB need to take it out from TV.. and the extension doesn't matter if .eed or .EED

ASRock B650M PRO RS - BIOS CHIP 25Q256JW BLOCKED BY STATUS REGISTERS
              by DynaxSC
              Hi

I have a very strange issue with the BIOS SPI chip of an ASRock B650M PRO RS motherboard.
The SPI chip is an Winbond 25Q256JWEQ model (1V8).
The motherbaord doas not POST - it lits only CPU and DRAM EZ Debug Leds, and stays that way forever.
The Flashback function of the motherbaord is also not working, despite all instructions followed correctly - I'm 100% sure of this.

I have then desoldered the chip, backupped the contents, and tried to earease the chip in order to program stock image, but the chip is locked by status registers SREG2 (TB) and SREG6...

Philips Hue Go Light Repair Attempt
              by KYBOSH
I got my hands on a Philips Hue Go lamp that was not working properly.

              Model# 71460

The symptom was slow flashing purple LED (error code?) but it would not stay lit nor are you able to connect to it via BT or Zigbee.

It did not come with a charger but when I probed the power pads (12V) I was getting a slight spark so I knew there was a short somewhere.

I was able to find a hotspot on an IC but I am having trouble figuring out what it is as there is absolutely no mention of the markings anywhere on the web.

              Attached are some photos...

Philips 32PFL4901/F8 BA4GF0F0102 2 Not getting standby led
              by alro7779
              Hello, guys!

The same 32" Philips TV I was having video issues, but now I don't have standby led at all. Someone here shared with me the schematic of the power supply, and checking the voltages, I see right after the resistor R604 I'm getting 1.6 v which is too low for enabling the Gate of the Q601 mosfet (the diagram says 4.2). On the R614 resistor I'm getting 181 V in and 117 V out, then through R603 I'm getting the same 117 V in and 59.9 V out, finally getting the latter voltage in the R604 BUT getting just 1.6 V out, which is the voltage that goes on to the Gate of the Q601...

Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo
              by G33RT
Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.

It does power up when pressing the power button.

I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.

Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ?
