    Repair attempt Philips 55OLED804/12

    Hello,

I bought a SH Philips 55OLED804/12 TV with known defect in an attempt to repair it for personal use.

The symptoms when bought: Philips logo appears then tv turns off

    Things tried so far:

    1. Powering it on: Philips logo shows on the screen, sometimes with some minor artefacts then shuts down. Red status led flickers rapidly into two batches then repeats
    2. Put it in recovery mode by pressing joystick down then plugging it to mains: The tv shows the logo then shows the android animation along with some minor artefacts on the screen then powers off. Red status led pulsates slowly
    3. Tried to unplug the T-CON and check if led status changes with no luck. Red status led has the same behaviour
    4. Tried Firmware on USB with no luck. The tv does not pick up the firmware
    5. Tried NVM.eed file found on this community with no luck. The tv does not respond when with USB plugged in
    6. Cleaned all connectors with isopropyl alcohol, checked for swollen caps

Next things i would have in mind to do:
    1. Measure some voltages on the PSU but i did not find any schematics yet.
    2. Locating and replacing the EMMC that store the firmware. Need to locate the dump files or trying to recover them from existing.

Do you guys have any other opinions or remarks? Thank you

    download and extract.
ready USB Stick small size as you can, formatted FAT32 MBR Mode.. MBR mode most important
copy 1.eed on USB root and rename it to NVM.EED, if every things fine TV will start at Factory mode
delete the file from USB Stick and copy 2.EED and rename it to NVM.EED and flash it
take the USB and delete the file again and copy 3.EED and rename it to NVM.EED and flash it... this last step to get out from Factory mode

Thank you. I will try your solution tomorrow. I might have missed the MBR mode on previous attempts, this time i will make sure to format the USB(4GB) to FAT32 MBR. Does it matter if i use USB1 or USB2 port on the TV side?

USB Port V2.0 ( Black Color ) on the side of the TV , not at the back
