    Vizio PDP50X3T012 Nightmare

Vizio P50HDTV10A Plasma Nightmare. Ok not a big fan of plasma and my experience is limited. what I am getting is a ghosting type flashing of the screen with no picture just that. Va and Vs voltage is right on the money and no blown fuses or swollen caps or anything getting hot that I can see. Other than this I'm not sure what to look at.

IPM's on the Ysus are failing. You will need to replace those or get a rebuilt Y board. And probably the buffers too.

I have one here doing the same thing, turns on, screen flashes a ghostly white/with a line down the middle.

    does it act like this?

Vizio thread here, I know yours is a different model but I am sure they are pretty close internally.

That looks almost exactly like it but I don't get the wide line down the center. I though a fuse would blow when IPM failed??

they are technically still working but they are on their last legs and will eventually die/pop.

I have been told in this state to not power the unit on with that plugged in cause if those IPMS do go they can/might take out buffers and cause more damage.

Buffers are cheap, the Y-sus is about 135-155'ish.

Oh and you got the Panel part number on your title (PDP50X3T012) is the screen its self

P50HDTV10A is the correct one, or should be anyway

            No problem!

I have had a couple of these beasts, when they are working they have a pretty nice 720P picture and were I am at they sell pretty quick right around the 200-300 range.

            Good luck!
