Hi guys!! this TV was given to me, I am not sure how or when it stopped working correctly but I hope the information below will help you understand the problem better. In advance I thank you for your experience and any info you can provide me!

I am attaching two videos that will better show the issues. As I turn on the tv I get different results, Some times I turn it on and the screen stays black but when looking closely with a flashlight I can see the olevia logo on the screen, the logo is frozen and it does not go away, not even if I try to change channels, nothing I do removes the olevia logo from the screen.

Then I turn the tv off and back on, and from time to time, you can see on the second video the screen light up showing the olevia logo. After second or so the screen goes off, I look back with a flashlight and the olevia logo is not longer there, the screen is blank. As you can see in the video, the light from the inverter lights on only from the center of the screen to the right side of the screen, while the left side does not turn on at all.

Can you please tell me what is needed to get it fixed? Based on the issues previously mentioned and if you need me to be more clear on any of the explanation, don't mind contacting me to ask any questions.

Hi Budm! Sure, can you please tell me what kind of pictures would you recommend me posting? I did upload two videos that I hope can help identify the issue. where you able to look at those?

In the mean time, if it helps, this are the inverters and components that comes with this tv:

The tv comes with 2 inverters#4 and one number 3 on the left side looking from the front of the tv. On the right side, 2 inverters #2 and one inverter #1, but those seem to be ok.

Power supply board pictures? We need to find out if the power supply is getting the correct signals and if it is putting out the correct voltages or not.

You need to get the closed up pictures of the 3 white connectors to the left and 3 to the bottom left of the board so we can see labels next to them.

It looks like one side of the power supply or the inverter board are not working so you get half-lit lamps.
Both power supply board has connector with '24V' label for the pins on the connector. Check both power supply board 24V pin to see if both power supply is putting the 24V needed for the inverter board to run.
Both power supply boards also have large heatsink which I cannot tell if there are bad caps under the heatsinks or not, you need to look at them real close.

Hi Budm, thanks again for all the help yesterday, I checked the voltage on both power supply boards where it says 24v. This is the result I got in both boards... very strange, am I doing something wrong? I am pretty sure I am doing it right.. but you are the expert!

I cannot see the Video 2. Since both power supply boards are the same, you can swap the two boards to see the left side will have lights and the right side will now become dark.

Hi Budm, sorry about the video, you should be OK to look at it now.

I already tried to switch both board, but no improvement... also, the voltage check is no different in the other board, same problem... actually, if it helps, if you pay attention to the sound of the video, you will listen a sound I am not sure where is coming from, right before the voltage starts dropping to zero.

OK, from the video, the 24V output of both power supplies are going up and down. The only thing I can think off will be the PS_ON signal is going HI and LO.

There is 'PSON' on pin on each one of of the power supply board, when the TV is off, it should show <1VDC, when the power switch is activated it should go up and stay at>2.5V, so you need to check the PSON pin of both power supply boards.

Ok! Just checked, and similar experience with both boards, I plug the multimeter to the pson and it shows zero, then I press the power on button and voltage goes up and back down to zero in less than a second. I checked the max on my voltmeter and most of the times it is around 2.5 during that period, few instances where I turn the tv on and off voltage was even less.... But always back to zero.

OK, that explained why the 24VDC output is going up and down, it is being commanded to turn on and off. We need to verify if the 5VSB Voltage is maintaining steady 5V or not, so check the 5VSB pins next.

I tested the 5vsb with the power switch off and then turning it on and in both cases it is a straight zero volts... No voltage at all... I went ahead while I was at it and tested the 5v right next to the 5vsb, and that one does goes up and back to zero when I switch the tv on and off...

The 5VSB (5V standby) is the always on power supply, it is running the minute you plug the TV into the outlet, you do no have to turn it on.
Something is not being measuring right some where.

Mmm, I have been doing everything just as you asked me to, I really hope I have not been wasting your time. I did try to check the 5vsb again and as you can se in the video, I actually get some voltage the moment I plug into the outlet, but it goes right to zero within a second or so. I am attaching a video and a photo.

OK, that connector there is no wire attached to it, how about the other power supply board?
