Hello. I have a 6 year old Sceptre X32BV-FullHD that just does not want to turn on. This is an LCD display. It has the typical story of it worked fine and then I tried to turn it on again and it wont turn on.
This TV, while off, has a red indicator led that is always on and the led turns blue when the TV is turned on. The led is not lit at all.
I've tried all the basic stuff (unplug - replug all devices, try one device at a time, replace power cable...etc) nothing has worked.
The interesting thing is when I unplug the power supply and plug it back in, the indicator led turns on red for a second and then turns off.
I've opened the TV and visually checked the power supply's capacitors and there are two capacitors where the tops seem slightly bulging.
I'm going to order a capacitor replacement kit but was wondering before I do that, is there anything else I should try ?
I'll post pictures of the TV and its boards when I get home.
