    toshiba 55ht1u screen went black???

Hi everyone my name is Matt. I currently have a toshiba LCD model 55ht1u. I was watching tv an all a sudden the screen went black an I still had sound. The screen came back on for a few moments then went black again an stayed black but still had sound. I called Toshiba an they told me to try another component. So I played the DVD an same thing. I had sound but no picture. So they told me to take a flashlight an hold to the screen to c if I could c the picture but still couldn't. They told me it had to be one of the borads. I asked if they could come look at it but they said I was outta range an there was no one locally. I still haven't found anyone local. I was told it was either the power supply borad of the invertor? Can't get any info or help on which one it be. I tried to do a factory reset but not seeing the screen keeps me from doing it. If anyone would know which borad would be bad so that I could order it to fix it. I'd be greatly apperitied or any info. Thanks for any help guys!

There are 4 inverter boards. Master and Slave 1 and 2. The left and right boards sets have jumpers that burn up and sets are expensive. When they short they kill the 24 vdc. A common problem.

I know I 've seen where other people have had the same problem but they said the power light will go Orange or red and flash. I noticed mine will stay green. I tried it again yesterday an it still the same no screen with pic.

Ltank u actually listed 3 invertor boards master slave1 & 2. Unless there's another one. I'm no tv expert either. Lol I found all of this master, slave 1 &2

I've the same issue... cable is fried.

Is there any point replacing the cable and hoping to get another couple of years out of it?

Clean up the area and run jumper wires and solder them directly to the board. You will still have to see if there is any damage beyond that like the 24v line LTank mentioned.
