On the SS board the LED for the +15volt is lit, have checked most of the voltages and after switch on they all appear but then they go off. I changed the SS board but fault is still the same. If the +15v detector is lit, this means the voltage is missing, I assume ??.will post picture later.

Re: Panasonic TH-42PE30 fault no picture fault code 2 blinks
I think 2 blinks is Vsus fault, have you tried isolating SC and SS boards to see if error code changes? Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

From memory, 12 is an audio fault. Try unplugging speakers, check speaker wire for shorts, check speakers are about 8ohm each. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Panasonic TH-42PE30 fault no picture fault code 2 blinks
Disconnected PA1,PA3,PA5,PA6 and PA7, when putting them back in with PA7 disconnected, the screen lit up but only for about a minute, when retried this it did the same, so it looks like the 15v is being loaded.Comment

Re: Panasonic TH-42PE30 fault no picture fault code 2 blinks
Have done more checks. with P12 removed, no clicking or relays and no blinking LED. replace P12 and remove P5, this gives 5 blinks, replaced PL5 and remove P23, this gives 2 blinks, replace PL23 and remove P7 this gives 12 blinks. Any thoughts.Comment

Re: Panasonic TH-42PE30 fault no picture fault code 2 blinks
In schematic states that 12 blink code is: "PA board Base Voltage (15, 12, 9, 5, 2.5V)".
Maybe some of the sub-voltages on the PA board is missing, try to measure voltages on PA2 connector.Comment

Re: Panasonic TH-42PE30 fault no picture fault code 2 blinks
Have checked the voltages on PA10 to PF10.
Pin one and two Unr 21v, Voltage rises to 22.1v, then trips.
Pin five unr 14v, Voltage rises to 15.5v, then trips.
Pin seven stb 5v, Voltage rises to 5.3v and remains constant.
Pin nine AC on/off, Voltage rises to 2.3v, then trips
Any thoughtsComment

Re: Panasonic TH-42PE30 fault no picture fault code 2 blinks
Thanks for the reply, have done further checks and found if I remove plug D3 the power stays on, so I thought it would be the D board, but got the board today and still have the same problem. Have checked all the main voltages and all are within spec. Also some times the set will switch on and stay on upto 30minutes, other times it will stay on for a few minutes. The only video I could display was the PC channel. So whats the chance the problem is in the DG board ??????.Comment

by CurtissimoHi everyone.
I have a HP Elitebook 850 G8.
Serial: 5CG2324XM0
ProdID 6L8D5EC#ABA
It has a Winbond W25Q256JVEN Chip.
I need to remove BIOS Password.
I made a dump with an CHA341A programmer and NeoProgrammer 2.2.0.10.
Attached my dump.
I also used the HP Unlocker tool to create an unlocked file (I followed the guidelines)
I also downloaded latest HP BIOS Update (SP158137) which includes 3 .bin files. I found the Number T76 in my original dump, so I used: T76_01210000.bin

by RictechHello everyone. 😀
As per thread title, this unit has a serious SMPSU fault. It blows F1001, which is a 10A M205 in the phase from the mains input.
Very first thing I tried, was simply replacing the fuse, but the replacement ceramic fuse blew immediately.
Looking at the schematic for this PSU, I then removed what I thought was the next likely candidate: D1001 - the HV main bridge rectifier.
This isolated the fault(no longer blows the main fuse), but does not point me to the actual fault.
There are no devices that have exploded or otherwise show signs...-

by GoodCapDudeHi everyone. First post on Badcaps!
I am trying to fix a Sony 940E from 2017 that either starts normally (and works perfectly until turned off) or goes straight to the 6 blinks error code without showing anything on the screen. It is frustrating to know that it can still work perfectly but is barely usable because of the difficulty starting it up. I am willing to try to short the BL_ERR but I would like to avoid that if possible. Does anyone have a view on this? Thanks a lot.... -
by FZGHello!
I recently got an old VHS player from Panasonic and just for fun I want to try to repair this device. It is an AG-1000B portable VHS player from 1990 and it has a problem with picture quality in playback mode.
Picture in playback mode is very noisy and often loses sync but the still images are nearly perfect.
I want to know, is this something that could be solved by recapping or is the video head likely gone?
Also, what mechanism is this?
Any feedback is appreciated!...05-06-2024, 07:16 AM -
