    Hey all,
    I have a Samsung LA37B530P7R, since a while ago the screen became very bright and i couldn't find any solution.
    I replaced the T-CON board, but the problem still persist.
    Hope you'll give me some ideas how i can solve it.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    OK, on the right hand side of your T-CON board (this board: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attach...9&d=1408350851), you have a few points marked VG1 through VG22. They are scattered in different places. These voltages represent the gamma curve. Can you test these voltages and report your readings? Use a digital multimeter set to the 20V DC range (or auto-ranging DC volts if available.)

    This is a common fault with these sets, it is quite likely you have been sold an untested, faulty T-con. (Despite sellers claims that they are tested, they rarely are!) The repair involves replacing IC U500, 48 pins QFP.

      thanks, those the readings i got:

      VG1 = 15.26
      VG2 = 15.02
      VG4 = 12.39
      VG6 = 10.71
      VG8 = 10.01
      VG10 = 7.93
      VG11 = 7.68
      VG12 = 6.74
      VG13 = 6.98
      VG15 = 4.86
      VG17 = 4.20
      VG19 = 2.89
      VG21 = 0.52
      VG22 = 0.30

      I think that all the VG## on the board.

        Looks like the gamma voltages a off....

        Funny thing is--I did exactly one of those boards yesterday, although the picture was dark, overcontrasted and very horrible colour.....

        AS-15F chip, known as the gamma reference chip.

        'BTW Tom, I tried a 'F' suffix in place of its 'G' and worked fine....

          Should i replace only the chip on the board?
          I did lots of soldering but never tried solder a chip like this one..

            Chip is cheap--as chips, might as well!

            Not hard to do, just make sure you dont lift any pads when you remove the old one, and line the new chip exactly on the pads before resoldering...

                    Hello.

                    I am from INDIA.
                    I have the same problem with my 37 inch LCD TV. (1st attachment)
                    After reading this thread, I ordered AS15F chip on ebay.in.

                    Its price is around Rs. 350/- (approx... 5$). I dont know SMD soldering. I took it to a nearest cellphone repairing center and he took Rs. 150/- (approx 2.1$) for soldering.

                    I connected the board as it is and it is working great. (attachment 2)

                    In the second picture, I removed the panel sticker.
