    Samsung LED/LCD model UA40C6200U

    Hello all,
My tv won't turn on.Power led solid red when ac supply connected.Starts flashing with audible relay clicking when turned on via remote.

I have read quite a few threads on here.My question is, with this model /sereis ( C) ,should the backlights come on with the connector lead between the mainboard and power supply disconnected? Or do I need to connect A5v to BL_ON

Am i correct in assuming BL_ON is a command line, and not a confirmation line.
Also P_DIM is a led supply dimming command?
I have checked for backlight operation by connecting LED- to ground, altough not full brightness, all series leds appear to light up.

The power supply used is a BN4400357A

I have standby 5v dc stable, and other voltage rails pulsing.Ther is also 160v on the led supply pins.

I am trying to isolate whether ai have 1 or more faulty boards.
    Thanks,Robert

BN44-00357A has pull-up resistor for the PS_ON and the BL_ON, the transistors on the main board will keep these two signal lines LO, it will release these two line to go HI when TV is ON. So if you disconnect the cables between the main and the Power supply board, the backlights should come on, and the PFC Voltage booster circuits to come on also.
If you do have backlights then the problem is in the main board is not allow those two signals to go HI.

Thank-you for advice, and the psu schematic. This is also my understanding with the "C" series as well.
Disconnecting the 18 wire lead from the mainboard and reconnecting the ac supply produces nothing, which would indicate a faulty power supply.

However, connecting A5v to PS_ON and BL_ON produces backlights and led supply boosted to 188v.Also 12v and another 5v supply present.

Does this still indicate a faulty power supply?

OK, I just look at the diagram again, the pull-up resistor (RB852) for the PS_ON is not used, that is why you have to use the external source to turn on the power supply. So it seems to me that the main board is not sending the PS_ON signal to turn on the power supply, it is the main board problem at this point.

I had/have two 46/40C6300 TV's with constantly clicking on and off relays and both had/have mainboard issues.

            Re: Samsung LED/LCD model UA40C6200U

Thank-you very much for your help.I had read that the mainboard was the achilles heel of this model

Samsung's policy of only selling replacement parts to their ASC and the price in New Zealand, make this an uneconomic repair.Even with just the main-board.
Unfortunately the main board appears to non-existant using most search engines

Power supplies.T-Con seem universal within model ,however main-boards appear to be country/market specific.

            Once again, many thanks.

            Cheers Robert.

Maybe a long shot but try heating the main ic with a hair dryer. If it's faulty maybe you can attempt a reflow until a replacement board becomes available.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Samsung BN44-00262A H37F1-9SS power supply help finding blown value components!
                by cheeky2
This Samsung combined power supply and inverter was replaced a while ago from a Samsung 37inch LE37B530P7W TV. However I would like to repair this one.
I have replaced the Mosfets Q1820 and Q1821 ( FDPF7N50U) which were both blown and the fuse FM802S. The schematic for this power supply that is attached doesn't relate to this power supply as the driving transistors and diodes are D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 are nowhere on the schematic!
Does anyone know what the components for D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 should be? I ask as I did change the Mosfets...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

Samsung UE48H6410 replaced Mainboard but backlights doesnt go on
                by max789
Hello, I have a problem with my Samsung UE48H6410SSXZG with the main board BN41-02156A and the power board BN44-00709A. Everything seemed like this, the TV could no longer be switched on, the standby LED always flashed 5x2 times. Backlight was off and no sound from TV. Also made the flashlight test and there was no picture.

                I made the following tests:
                1. Disconnected the main board from Power Board = backlight works.
                2. Connected the main board and disconnected the T-Con = backlights does not work.

So I ordered a main board from Ebay also BN41-02156A but from...
