I have a 50PA6500 I bought broken to repair. It doesnt show anything on the screen. The seller said they were watching tv one day and they heard a sound and the video stopped. They say they still heard audio but I dont know if thats the truth or not but I will tell you what Ive seen.
I replaced the 2 y buffers on the left (connected to the y sustain), the power supply board, the z sustain, and the y sustain board but no luck. I hit the power button and im not even sure if it turns on all the way because no video is showing so I dont even know what input or channel its stuck on or if its turning on.
Before I started replacing parts I heard it make a clicking noise when I would hit power but now it doesnt make the noise and it seems like its on but no video. I see a red light that stays solid on the main unit board (if thats the name of the board with the video inputs) I also see a green light that blinks on and off on the main logic control board. I dont know what else to do.
I also dont know if the power button light is supposed to do anything on the front because I never saw what it looked like working. My other tvs have a solid green or solid red light in front when turned on.
