Here's an odd one....
Vestel 32" 17MB12.2 'Accoustic Solutions' 32LCD summit or other....
Has an IPS LCD (not seen many IPS displays) and the fault is psychodelic picture.
Turning contrast down to around 1/8th from right down gives a reasonable (and still quite contrasty) picture.
When I first had this set, I thought the usual--AS15 gamma chip.
However, This set doesn't have that chip on the T-Con. I obtained from fleagay a replacement T-Con, same board exactly-- MDK336V 0 n allegedly from a Toshiba
Fitted that--Exactly the same fault.
Tried three different MB12.2 Mainboards, and set the correct panel make/type in Factory settings, No different.....
Supplier reckons he had a faulty LCD, that had yellow line and this T Con was perfectly fine
Measurements of the Vgama (called, Vcom on this board) are inconclusive, both boards compare in readings by 0.3-0.5V.
Any ideas?
