I see this has been viewed a few times and was wondering if anyone has any input on if it is bad panel or possible t con. Would apppreciate any input. Thanks

Pretty sure this is the Coby unit that has a recall for being a massive fire hazard.

Yours is a bit older, to me it looks like a panel/tab bond problem. Flex the tv see if it changes or take it apart and break it down to panel level And touch the tab bonds with something non conductive and see if it changes the picture.

          Freeze spray works too.

After some studying, I just about have to think it is gate driver failure. I think this is one of the newer panels in which they are built into the panel. It is a Samsung panel with one ribbon going to t-con. What a shame. This TV is barely 2 years old. It's like we're living in "junk city" anymore.

Yes, looks like a panel failure to me. Too common on modern LCD TVs. If it's any consolation, you'd get the same fault if you had bought a Samsung...!
