Samsung UN55D6050 Audio but Black Screen

    Hello,

I was given a non-working Samsung UN55D6050TFXZC that I am interested in repairing.

The TV turns on, and there is sound. However the screen is black, and as far as I can tell the backlight is on. I've tried pressing the menu button to see if it was just an input problem, but the menu does not show up either.

I read the "Basic_LCD_TV_trouble_shooting_guide_by_Bud_Martin.pdf" from this website, and from that I believe it is either the main logic board or the T-CON board.

I looked up replacements, and they seem to be out of stock or highly priced. So before I purchased any replacements I wanted the best guess of which I should replace.

I've looked over the boards for any blown fuses or busted capacitors, but everything looked fine to me. I can post pictures later tonight once I get home from work.

Do you have a digital multimeter available? Any other equipment, like an oscilloscope, might also be worth mentioning.

Do you have a camera to take photos of the boards in the set?

I have just arrived home, and I will upload the pictures now.

Also I talked to the guy I got the TV from, and he said he had this TV repaired for the same issue back when it was under warranty.

The work order for it says:

"Screen would go black, sound ok, then screen will come back intermittently"

It then says the part that was replaced was a BN44-00424A SMPS, is it safe to assume that since it's an identical problem I should be able to buy the same board and swap it out?

Every time I hear about D series, I'm thinking about bad panel.
I wouldn't spend a dollar on it yet.
I would make sure, that all the voltages are there first and everything works as it should.

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
                by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

Dell G3 15 3500 - Battery bug (black screen and flashing keyboard backlight)

                Hello,

YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo

I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.

On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.

I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.

I changed the battery with a new and original battery.

I also had corrosion/oxidation on the...

                Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

                Samsung UE50KU6070 black screen
                by totof
                Hello,
I have my TV model UE50KU6070 which I am trying to repair.
                BN41-02528A / BN94-10800C motherboard.
If I disconnect the motherboard from the power board, the backlight works. When the motherboard is connected the backlight works but the screen remains black.
When I plug the TV into the electrical outlet, the standby LED lights up but no reaction to an attempt to start it with the remote control for about 1 minute. During this minute the TV consumes about 20W.
After one minute the consumption drops to 0W and the TV can turn on with the remote control but...

I came around this forum last week with the goal of repairing my faulty gaming laptop, indeed, I was video editing on it when suddenly a black screen popped and never disappeared I bought some stuff to try to repair it and learn as many things as possible about computer repairs but nothing worked so far. When the black screen appeared, my legion 5 pro was connected to my external monitor...
