I have just arrived home, and I will upload the pictures now.

Also I talked to the guy I got the TV from, and he said he had this TV repaired for the same issue back when it was under warranty.

The work order for it says:

"Screen would go black, sound ok, then screen will come back intermittently"

It then says the part that was replaced was a BN44-00424A SMPS, is it safe to assume that since it's an identical problem I should be able to buy the same board and swap it...

I have a multimeter, no oscilloscope, other then a soldering iron I can't think of any other equipment.

I was given a non-working Samsung UN55D6050TFXZC that I am interested in repairing.

The TV turns on, and there is sound. However the screen is black, and as far as I can tell the backlight is on. I've tried pressing the menu button to see if it was just an input problem, but the menu does not show up either.

I read the "Basic_LCD_TV_trouble_shooting_guide_by_Bud_Martin.pdf" from this website, and from that I believe it is either the main logic board or the T-CON board.

I looked up replacements, and they seem to be out...
