    Viore lc22vh56pb

My nephew's TV is sitting on my bench-dead.

It seems similar to 2 seconds to black except no image or sound. There is snow on the screen once it turns black, if viewed with a flashlight. It has no sound, and the power light stays green. The menu button seems to work, but not the source button as far as I can tell. I don't think it can be assumed that the main board is good, so do I need to suck it up and buy a main board for him?

    Thanks for any advice!

No power to the board Meter on ohms 2000 test TP6 to TP4 and TP7 and TP9
Top corners of the board (in your back picture)

it doesn't look like a spill looks like sloppy manufacturing...it doesn't wipe off.

            tp 4-6 is 620 k ohms
            tp 7-9 is 621 k ohms

c5 is burnt next to t1 --- c13 next to t2 is bright blue.

Yes - I had just spotted that - it looks to me as though the glue they used to stick the
lamp plugs in gas gone conductive. Carbonised then shorted possibly taking out the
capacitor and if unlucky the transformer
Suggest replace the capacitor and price up the transformer?

EDIT Oh Good - just backtracked on the transformer results and it looks like its ok

EDIT2 I am assuming you mean 620 ohms not K Ohms

While you are there there is a new thread here that we are hoping to promote to beginners
and I was wondering if you would give permission for that picture to be used as it covers two things to look for in one picture - off colouring and burnt glue
                    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=38391

You will also need to clean off the burnt glue and off the other side before it goes bad
