I could try that. When I first went there, I saw that they were out of stock and didn't notice the "repair and Return" option. Then for some reason, I was thinking it would be way too expensive to send the TV, but then I came to my senses and realized, they just wanted the board.

I'll let you know how it turns out.

P.S.: how do you get those ribbon connectors off without damaging them?

Back in February, i was able to get the TV started after cycling through the reset-power-on procedure several times. At the time, I diagnosed the problem by researching online and that's where I found the diagnostic screen and that it was probably the A-board. (reading here further confirms that).

I have determined that I have the TNPH0800AB board. I cannot find ANYONE online who has the board (or similar one) in stock. Panasonic maybe has it but I stopped looking when they listed their price at $598 USD.

Since February, our workaround has been to just leave the TV on. We would switch it to an unused input so that the screen is black and I found that the power used was minimal. This past week though, the power went out briefly (not from a surge) and I haven't been able to get the TV back on. so thus, i am back to looking for a solution.

I have found a broken TC-P50C1 on an online advertisement here in my town, but the person hasn't replied to my email. If I can get his TV for cheap, then I can put up with losing one HDMI port, but other options seem non-existent or prohibitively expensive considering that I can buy a new smart TV for $600 CAD.

If I don't get it fixed, should I just scrap the TV or gut it and sell the parts? and to whom?
Could try PTS Electronics in the US for $150USD they do rebuilds

gone through it like a dose of salts, keep the board though, you never know if it will become handy.

2 faults are probably unrelated though if it kept working on AV, I blew a HDMI port from lightning, lucky just took the 1 port out

no don't bake it in case you have to pay someone to rebuild it unless you don't care if you ever get it running again, these boards are pretty non-existant.

maybe send a message to these people, sounds like they know this board and it's sypmtoms which seem to be similar to yours

No picture or sound or OSD on any input but power stays on

board must be untouched for them to work on.

I wish I'd tagged this thread now, from memory it had spots like corrosion maybe the caps venting onto that metal cradle but I also think it had a 1 blink code. I'm looking but I've got noo keyword to nail it with, pretty sure it was 2009 era.the spots which may have been browny / red lined up with the tops of the caps.

Don't get your hopes up, could be a failed BGA device, bad solders, bad eeproms data who knows. Not a board many get to fix at component level.

Tried any freeze spray or heat the board up just in case you can fluke it to work?

I took the A Board off the cradle and didn't see any kinds of markings, "spotting" etc.

I'm looking up how to replace all the caps on this thing to see if I can bring it back to life. As well as looking for another board.

If the screen is energising and it's not shutting down off with an error blink code but just cycling it's the main board.

i don't know if it's worth the trouble but I think 1 blink is fairly common and someone has brought one back to life re capping all the can type caps on the mainboard I think? Otherwise you may have fun trying to locate a board, Modus is gone.

sounding like a bad mainboard, I guess no input controls from the remote work or any OSD menus displayed?

I also have the Panasonic TC-P50X1 set...and all of a sudden, this past week, I get the "one blink" blink code. Everything points to the main board. TNPH0800(AB) but finding one from a reputable seller is tough...since I'm not in the biz and don't know any of the sellers.
I guess, I need to ask for recommendations on reputable places. Shopjimmy seems to be the one most recommended...but they're out of stock.

    Thanks, folks.
I don't think you have many choices.
    1. Ebay, two showing $110-150
    2. keep an eye out for a 50C1 or 50X14 with a broken screen.
    3. pack it up and send to moduslinkpts and have repaired $145 with wty

Panasonic ZT60 plasma tv with strange behavior and 8 blink code
    by cloo
I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

    Panasonic plasma TX-P42ST50 - 6 blinks
    by jm1234
    Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults...

Panasonic Plasma TH-50PZ85U No screen No blinks on red power light
    by Alicat
    Hello,

Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.

    Model number is TH-50PZ85U

Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.

Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.

I also hear a few clicks.

I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks
    by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

Panasonic Plasma repair - TH-P60GT50 - Dead, 3 blink code
    by rmacintosh
I aquired this Panasonic 60" plasma around the time my first child was born. It was meant to be a project tv, hoping to fix it chipping away at the repair in my free time. Well that was 2 years ago and i'm really just getting around to making a sincere effort to see if I can ressurect this beast.

The symptoms of the tv ar as follows:
    • Plug AC in to back of TV
    • After about 2 seconds the relay on the P-sub board will click on and then a fraction of a second later it clicks back off
    • The 3 blink code is given by the power LED
    • If the TV is unplugged and then
