    I could try that. When I first went there, I saw that they were out of stock and didn't notice the "repair and Return" option. Then for some reason, I was thinking it would be way too expensive to send the TV, but then I came to my senses and realized, they just wanted the board.

    I'll let you know how it turns out.

    P.S.: how do you get those ribbon connectors off without damaging them?

    I was going to start another thread for my problem but since it all deals with the same TC-P50X1 television, I thought I'd add my situation here.

    Since February, I have had problems turning on my TV and I get the 1-Blink error. Back in February, i was able to get the TV started after cycling through the reset-power-on procedure several times. At the time, I diagnosed the problem by researching online and that's where I found the diagnostic screen and that it was probably the A-board. (reading here further confirms that)....

    Hi. I have been living in Canada's capital, Ottawa for four years now. I have a wife from Honduras and three children. I, myself, emigrated from the Netherlands with my parents many years ago.

    I stumbled upon this site while looking for information on repairing my TV. It is such a waste to have to throw out something just because one thing is broken, but usually the parts/labour are too expensive to justify repairing it.

    However, not everyone is an expert in everything. I am not an electronics expert...
