So it seems the sound has gone out. I don't really use this tv much. It seems to have gone out after turning it off one day. Turned it back on some time later and no sound...

OK so I got a board for 25 bucks delivered. I replaced a few caps that were suspect but It is ALIVE!
I canabalized the LG for the speakers and it now has sound. Can I use the speaker outputs to run RCA's to an Amplifier? How does the subwoofer hook up?

The side I took off was clear of the lines but the side still connected had the lines. And vise versa when the other side was removed the same thing happened just different sides.Leave a comment:

Half of the screen goes blank when I remove One cable. The other side goes blank when I remove the other side cable.

Maybe i will just keep it til it gets worse. I only use it in my bedroom and it puts me to sleep. Most of the time I don't notice it. I wouldn't get much for it anyway I suppose.Leave a comment:

Yeah I know. I bought a new house-renovated the old one for renting-Got a promotion at work-more hours of course-almost completely paid off all my debt-built a new kitchen in the new to me house and bang. Here I am again back to tinkering with this tv.
So I tried the pressure thing.
Not much happens but I can see color changing around the pressure point.

LG 37lg30-ud Screen Has only vertical lines of color?
So I have this 2009 LG tv and one day the screen just goes to vertical lines of color. No content just lines.
When I turn it on there is a large red light by the power switch that blinks twice. Any one have any Ideas how to fix it?
I called LG and they think it is a corrupt mother board.
