Lesson learned from fixing a LG 60" Plasma TV

LG model 60PA6500-UA. The TV had a horizontal line as picture. This was most likely the panel problem.
The frame was very easy to take out, and I found there was a broken on the second upper ribbon cable attached to the panel, at lease 4 wires were cut due to some reason (Might be moving), see the last picture.
It's hard to solder it, so I thought it could be fixed same way as the LCD Tab Bond issue by giving pressure to the broken area, but this was wrong !!
When I did that, disaster happened: TV suddenly powered off, when turned back on, no picture !.
I checked the upper buffer board, there was two pins shorted, and the y-board might be affected too.
This is a big lesson learned. though I still had no idea how to fix the kind of broken.

Yep, so the issue affects the 60" panels too, which is a shame.
    50PA5500 and 50PA650T also affected.
Nothing you did to kill the buffer - the open circuits will kill it anyway eventually.
You will probably not be able to fix this without a panel replacement :/

What happens is a screw or plastic nub eats into the panel ribbons from temperature cycling or moving the TV.
