Samsung PN59D6500 Service manual

Where can I find a service manual for this tv? Just got a supposedly new SMPS and X-main but I don't want to damage them.

Newer tv manuals don't include schematics any more. They want you to buy a new board or new TV and not repair the board. It's a throw away society.

LTank I believe you are correct. Funny how the world is moving toward greater environmental conciousness yet consumer electronics manufacturers think it ok to birth landfills full of otherwise repairable goods.

I think they should be legislated to make available in digital form schematics and repair information on the products they produce.

I am mainly looking for directions on how to diagnose each board as a whole so I can replace it because I don't have time to test each component on the board. I am assuming that's how repairmen go about it these days but I can't find any info at all on this tv other than how to test the main board.

Thanks, I saw the fast track guide last week and it helped me diagnose a bad SMPS but I have a new SMPS and other problems are keeping the tv from turning on. Are there any tv's similar enough to this one that I can use the info to test boards?

I enjoy board level if possible. I am retired and my heart Dr. Wants me to do something and this is it. I have test equipment,
and time. I don't do this for a living. I do it mainly to help my step son at his computer shop

Keep this in mind; the box stores sell their models with slightly different designations but are for the most part essentially the same tv. For instance a regular Samsung UN46D6400 might be sold by Best Buy as a UN46D6420, as a way to not have to price match with Walmart who might sell the UN46D6450 etc etc. "I don't know, but I've been told..."

Can I unplug any cable or board without causing any prolems when I turn power on as long as there is no power when I do it?

I would just keep asking in here .

I dont really understand the question the set should be off and preferably unplugged for 5 minutes between plugging/unplugging anything. 15 mins if it is a plasma
