    Re: Samsung PN60E530 no picture

Thanks for the reply and help. I have done some more testing and replaced some bad caps on the x main board. I have Va and Vs with both boards connected. The issue I am having now is Ve. According to the label Ve should be 113 VDC. I am currently getting 10.5 VDC via the test point on the Y main board. I am not having any luck finding replacement boards for this model. I would like to repair the boards. Any thoughts on the low Ve?

I don't remember Ve. I never had a schematic for any of the boards on my 60E530. One voltage was supposed to be 211 volts DC; another, I think, was 5 volts.
Can you tell me on which board you probed a voltage of 113 volts?

        Thank you again Nicholas.
Louis82, I have the same blue 106 capacitors you replaced on your ysus board on your Samsung plasma. I know they are 10 uF but do you know what voltage? Where did you buy yours. I appreciate your time. Thank you.

Thank you ReeceyBurger123. Just to confirm are you saying not to have the TV power ON when removing the board or it will crack the board? I just want to make sure I didn't misunderstand. Thank you for your time

I'm having difficulty locating this 10uF 50V cap on digikey.com. I'm assuming this is a film capacitor but not sure best choice. Any shopping tips? I'd prefer the same one if available but I assume in that case may be a needle in a haystack. Any tips greatly appreciated

Its a 10uf 50v MLCC multilayer ceramic cap. Also when I said it could crack I meant the panel could crack. I had it happen doing video of it soon for youtube.

                    Re: Samsung PN60E530 no picture

hello all - I posted back a few months ago about our Samsung 60inch plasma. I found a seller on ebay to fix the Ysustain/Ymain board (the one that plugs into the buffer boards on the left of the TV if you are looking at it from the back with the back off. I took our original off and for $70 sent it in and they fixed and upgraded certain parts.

all of that to say the TV works perfectly now. it is actually brighter so I was able to back off the cell light a few and brightness from previous settings.
I also can tell there is much less if any "snow" showing through on black portions of the screen.
We also had a very audible BUZZ from the TV if you were directly in front of it when it was on. I called Samsung out when we first got it and they just said "normal". Well now that noise is GONE also! I am very happy and for $70 I wish I wouldn't have spent so much of my time troubleshooting. Oh well it works great now

If anyone would like the ebay seller feel free to PM me or shoot me an email. Thomas SPACE Newsome @ live . com
of course no spaces or the word in my real one.

                      Re: Samsung PN60E530 no picture

I am a complete novice with electronic repair so I am not sure if my issue has a posted solution yet or not. I don't know what to look for!

My parents have this TV, and recently it takes pressing the power button 15-20 times before it finally comes on. Sometimes it will just never come on. This is using both the remote and the physical button.

Also, the picture seems to have darkened up some.

My mom says it started happening when my brother in law synced up all their remotes to one universal remote. I thought they could be the problem, but since pressing the physical TV button also does not work I ruled that out.

                      Any idea?

Most likely they just replaced the ic chip then and not the capacitors then if there is no sign of sign of soldering on them. If you still have the x main board you purchased from shopjimmy then you should be able to use some of the capacitors from there. I recommend replacing all 3 small blue caps near the ic chip. After that you should be up and working again. It is not very difficult to replace the caps. As long as you have a soldering iron just add Alittle new solder to the leg, then heat up the leg and just pull on the capacitor as you heat the leg. The side that is being heated should slide right out.
Nicholas1110 i have the same issue were i disconnect the ribbon cable from y main to logic board my va and vs voltages are good. When ribbon is plugged va falls to 10.5v. Would the issue be resolved by replacing the ic chip near the yellow transformer also? My yv is pn60e7000

i have an update on this problem. my y-sus board doesn't have 3 small blue caps near the yellow transformer, BUT it does have one and it caused the problem. it was temperature sensitive. i also replaced the 8 pin dip regulator ic near the transformer. i hope this helps

I have a Samsung mfg date December 2012 model PN60E530A3FXZA. Probably about a year or so ago we started having issues with the display not appearing on power up. I don't recall if the sound worked during these issues. I am a complete novice on TV trouble shooting so I have left the TV turned on for a long time. We just switch the source to the ROKU home page that goes into a sleep mode and then select our App the next time we want to view. Always afraid the next time the power goes out the display won't turn back on.

Based on reading many topics, I am leaning towards keeping the power on until the display no longer works and then trouble shooting.

Any recommendations and advice would be appreciated.
