I am a complete novice with electronic repair so I am not sure if my issue has a posted solution yet or not. I don't know what to look for!

My parents have this TV, and recently it takes pressing the power button 15-20 times before it finally comes on. Sometimes it will just never come on. This is using both the remote and the physical button.

Also, the picture seems to have darkened up some.

My mom says it started happening when my brother in law synced up all their remotes to one universal remote. I thought...
