Amplifier - bad sound when loud sound on bass

I'n trying to fix a M&S SYSTEM DMC-1which have following problem:
I'm using FM station to do this fix, I works perfect if volume below around 8 or if bass is set to zero, the sound can go to 20 without problem, but if I set bass to maximum and try to go over 10 the sound comes distorted ... I saw a video on YouTube the person saying about the main capacitors on the power portion, but I disconnect the main transformer and inject direct to the capacitors PINs my bench power supply -23v 0v +23v, but still distorted so I think the problem is not the capacitor neither the transformer
The consumption is less than 500ma in both line (-23v +23v)
I connected an oscilloscope on the audio out (together with the speaker), and I noticed that the voltage Peak-to-Peak on the speaker is less than 10V while working good (high volume not bass, or low volume with bass), but if I increase the bass and the volume the peak-to-peak on the speaker goes to around 20v-23v and the sound comes distorted.
    Any tip is welcome.

It's a type of sound usually generated by increasing the gain of the signal. Distortion on your electric bass can be caused by your amplifier, wiring, cable, EQ, pedals, or audio interface. It can be done intentionally with pedals or unintentionally by many things.

Philips 43PUS7506/12 - Loud blown out sound
      by aidanmo
      Hello,

I've got a really strange issue with the speakers on my Philips 43PUS7506/12. It makes this awful loud buzzing now. It happened after it was attempted to be wall mounted - I think the back got squeezed and something broke.
I thought maybe the speakers got damaged, so I replaced them - no dice.
      • Using the internal speakers, it always happens.
      • Using the headphone jack, it never happens.
      • Using the digital/optical out with a soundbar - it happens after about 2h/movie runtime - it's never as drastic, it just pops in and out, but I didn't want it to damage the sound bar

      Mackie CR4 amplifier no sound
      by UserXP
      Hi, people.

I've got an amplifier assembly from Mackie CR4 parts. It's just an amplifier, there was no speaker housing, so I used my set of CR4s to test it.

Anyway, upon connecting everything and hooking the "new" amplifier to an audio source, the sound played clearly and strongly for the first ten seconds. I was happy it was working. Then the sound started to fade out during the playback until it was no more. After it had "dropped to zero", there were two very short intervals of sound playing at the normal volume, as if the amplifier was trying to...

RCA WHP141 wireless headphones wired up
      by momaka
OK, this one dates back to 2015! I thought I had posted this, but realized I didn’t when I posted a picture of something else. So here it goes…

Back in 2015, I bought a pair of RCA WHP141 wireless headphones at Micro Center for $2. I even mentioned it in the best cheap/free scores thread right here. Just forgot to follow up with that.

As mentioned back then, these are (were) 900 MHz FM wireless headphones. No modern day Blutooth or anything like that. I knew they wouldn’t be great headphones or even that good… but the price was right! So let’s take...

Telefunken L70 speakers, one has a nasal sound with less bass
      by Zonzi
      Hi everyone !

Once again I have an issue with old stuff I found for cheap, guess I have a taste for these.

I bought these two Telefunken L70 speakers for 20€ (https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/telefu...r_box_l_2.html), and they are in a superb state, component-wise. The box is scratched but I couldn't care less, I'm interested by whether it works or not.

They do work, and have a really nice sound, but one of the two has a problem with its 8" woofer. It's got practically no bass, and the mids are really pushed...

Bose Wave I AWRCC1 - intermittent to no sound output - loud popping & crackle sounds
      by proxneo
      Dear reader

I have been asked to check out a faulty Bose Wave system belonging to a relative. The faulty unit produces loud intermittent pops and crackles. Sometimes there is speaker audio output (FM/AM, CD etc.), most of the time there isn't. This behaviour degraded over time fairly quickly, to the current situation where no sound is put out at all. Gently messing and wiggling wires, connectors or heatsink has no effect in force-replicating the problem. I have little experience in audio repair when it comes to (main)board electronic component faults. Bose repair WAS about 140$ (most...
