    Panasonic TC-L55ET5

    Hello,
Need a bit of advise on this one.
I got it yesterday, turned it on,picture looked horrible, vertical bars that kinda followed the menu screen, slowly fading image into the next etc..when it warmed up picture got pretty close to perfect but then started freezing every few seconds with horrible distortion etc..
One shot of freeze spray on mainboard and tv jumped back to functioning normal..Hasen't done it since either but im sure it will again.
So it needs a mainboard for sure..
Question I have is that there are horizontal lines from left side of screen towards right side, fading into perfect about 3 quarters of the screen to the right.
They are barely noticeable from a few feet but up close clearly there...They are not black lines, more a slightly compressed picture every quarter inch.
Tried to capture it on a pic, have a look..

Do you think thats also caused by the mainboard or is the screen fubar???

For what my opinion is worth if it started with bars and still has bars Im going to say main board. Just curious what section of the main you sprayed? I see a large dc-dc converter section up top on the left. most of the main failures (phillips) Ive dealt with had problems in this section.

On pic 2 you can see that large chip with 16.000 legs? Right before the two ribbon cables? I froze that guy and tv smartened up instantly. Now if its that chip or a small smd part right beside it I don't know.
I gambled on it all being mainboard and ordered one.
Tnph1006. Now mine is a 1006 1a. The one I ordered is a 1006 2a. The 1 and 2 before the a are in a circle. Would that matter? They both come up as being for this TV.

I would try to reflow that if the freeze spray cured it, nothing lost as you were already planning on buying a main... flux it good and give it a shot with some hot air.

Finally got a mainboard for this thing,it cured the crashing and weird picture BUT the fine lines from left to right (Starting strong on left side of screen fading away to perfect about 3/4 of the way to the right) is still there
What's next? T-con? or is that a bad panel sign?
Right now I'm using it as my PC monitor, playing DAYZ and BF4 on a 55" tv is awesome . In game you barely notice the lines, but on being on this forum you can clearly see that there is something wrong with the picture...
