    panasonic 50G10B

How much electronics repair experience do you have? No standby light suggests a few possibilities:
    - 5V standby not reaching main board - broken wire/loose connector/cold solder/etc.
    - Panel/control MCU not working
    - Main board low voltage rail missing (such as 3.3V)
    - Software problem with main board/lock-up due to bad software (rare - would normally get standby light)
    - Broken LED light or connection in between

You can get a full schematic of the A board (main video board) in the service manual:

The power LED is controlled by IC1100, the SYSTEM MPU (GenX8) on the A board.

Check the STB3.3V to it is present.

You can check across the small ceramic capacitors near the IC (pins 63 and 65 for e.x.)

Or you can check at pin connector A17 "FOR FACTORY USE" (normally not connected) pin #2 has 3.3V standby, and pin #1 has 5V standby. If you have 5V & 3.3V it looks like it could be a complex repair. If you have 5V & no 3.3V you're lucky, may just be a dud regulator or a shorted ceramic cap. If you have no 5V or 3.3V check all connections, wires, fuses, and solder joints along that tract.

All readings are taken with black probe on chassis, TV powered ON.

        Hi Tom,

Good I found this forum. Hope I can resolve my in Panasonic Plasma T.V (TH-42p..)

On my Plasma T.V screen all of the sudden I can see Red or green pixels along with the image. there is no specific time or frequency for these pixels to appear. Some times it comes continuously all over the screen (along with the picture in the background) for about 30 sec and suddenly gets a clear picture and the same continues. But some times the picture is clear without any pixel issue for several hours.

Is that a voltage issue or Aged screen? Your inputs please.
