    Panasonic TC-P55VT25 Vertical Green Line

My Panasonic plasma has developed (suddenly) a thin green line, one pixel wide, extending from the bottom of the screen straight up to the middle, where it ends. I attached a pic of the line, though it's a bit hard to see.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

    Thanks,
    Ryan

Probably the panel itself or the COF chip/Tab driving that section of panel.

    Unrepairable.

OK... Hell of a thing happened, turned it on last night and the line is gone. Ran for a good 6 hours last night and another 5 so far today, no sign of it returning yet.

Re: Panasonic TC-P55VT25 Vertical Green Line

I have the same thin line issue with a Panasonic Tx-l32s20e.

Normally it is a thin line but when i press the menu button the line does not remain.
It could be a panel issue or t-con board?

        Sorry for my bad english.

          Er... That's an odd fault.
Does it happen on all video inputs? HDMI and AV?

Right now i can not test it because i dont have an hdmi cable. When i plug it to Pc via VGA the problem remains the same.

I attach some pictures with the boards.

What could cause this type of failure?

                Just incase he comes back.

Ryan, clean your bottom buffer ribbon cable that is in line with the line defect on your screen. It will return

Chances are that is a dirty buffer cable and it needs to be taken out and cleaned good.

I just repaired one that was FAR worse then yours and all I had to do was clean the cable and no more line!.

I have just tested it on HDMI and it does't make that line.
in my opinion that rules out the t-con. It remains only the mainboard.
Have you ever seen this kind of defect?

I've made a mistake. When i connect a device trought HDMI the initial line dissapear and another two appear in different position.

                      Hello,
I signed up to this forum because I have the exact same problem.

Was a resolution or fix ever discovered?

                      Thanks!

I didn't manage to find a solution to that. For the moment i left it aside...i think i will have to order a new mainboard.

                          by cubytus
                          Hi to all,

I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.

I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.

Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...

Vizio E701i-A3 fixed but now has red vertical line
                          by otaku_nut
Hi all, I tried searching the site for answers but I'm a bit over my head understanding some of what might apply and what doesn't, so please be patient with me. I used Freakaftr8's fix to remove the left driver board to restore picture to a black screen with sound Vizio E701i-A3. After doing so, I now have a large red vertical stripe down the center of the screen. The fix did require getting another t-con board from online, I ordered it before I knew about the mosfit fix for the old t-con board. I have tried cleaning the cable connections to the t-con board. I swapped the cables going from...

One vertical green line on my AQUOS LC-70LE740E TV
                          by hoot
                          Hello,

on my AQUOS LC-70LE740E LCD TV there is a vertical green line on the screen. (pictures below)

Does anyone know what the issue could be?

Up close it looks something like this.

                          Can this fault be serviced?

What I want to do is the following:

gently pressing on the ribbon connections along the top and bottom of the panel in the area of that line. Pushing a driver IC onto the flex cable it sits on to restore the lost connection. When the problematic area is found installing...

                          Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line
                          by TrueSword88
                          Hi all.

I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.

                          Hoping to fix...
