    Samsung LN55C630K1FXZA Black Screen

    Samsung LN55C630K1FXZA 55 Inch.

Sometimes when I turn it on it is fine, but much of the time the screen will come on for a few seconds and then it goes black. There is still sound. Reading through these threads I checked the picture by putting a flashlight against the screen and I can very faintly see the picture.

I have seen the recommendation to replace capacitors for other Samsung's with a similar issue, but mine look ok. And suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

Post good clear pictures of the back side of the TV so we can see what we are dealing with first.

Pictures of the whole back side of the TV so we see all the boards. Then straight shot pictures of each board.

Should I go ahead and try replacing the capacitors from the power board?

You may have bad power supply/inverter board, or Balance board (the big log board where lamps are connected to), or bad lamps.
Unplug the unit from the outlet, then remove the cable between the power supply and the main board, then apply the power and see if the backlights will stay on.
Also need the P/N of the power supply/inverter board, it should be something like BN-XXXXX.

Something to note as I have been looking at this today... It seems the picture does not go black as often if I power on the tv with an unplugged source. The picture stays telling me there is no source plugged in.

I will try your suggestion and get you the P/N.

Edit to add: The main board would be the board with the HDMI connections?

With the main board unplugged from the power supply, the tv does not turn on.

                      by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

                      Hello,

I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.

On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.

I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.

I changed the battery with a new and original battery.

I also had corrosion/oxidation on the...

                      Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

                      Hello,

                      BN41-02528A / BN94-10800C motherboard.
If I disconnect the motherboard from the power board, the backlight works. When the motherboard is connected the backlight works but the screen remains black.
When I plug the TV into the electrical outlet, the standby LED lights up but no reaction to an attempt to start it with the remote control for about 1 minute. During this minute the TV consumes about 20W.
After one minute the consumption drops to 0W and the TV can turn on with the remote control but...

I am really passionate about learning new skills and repairing/crafting stuff. I came around this forum last week with the goal of repairing my faulty gaming laptop, indeed, I was video editing on it when suddenly a black screen popped and never disappeared I bought some stuff to try to repair it and learn as many things as possible about computer repairs but nothing worked so far. When the black screen appeared, my legion 5 pro was connected to my external monitor...
