    LG model 32LD350 weird problem

    Hey guys,
I recently purchased an LG 32 inch tv with a bad screen for 20 bucks. It had a bad lcd, but that did not bother me because I had another one in the shop that was brain-dead.
The one that I bought worked fine except for the screen which had streaks across it horizontally near the top, I assume data lines broken or something. I took the other set apart and got a real surprise. The main boards looked identical, but the power supplies were totally
different. The one I bought seems to be a combo power supply and back light inverter, where as the one I had already had a seperate power supply and back light inverter board. Also the one I had already, had a standard tcon board, but the one I bought had a strange el-cheapo tcon board attached to the lcd. There is only 3 months between the manufacturing dates on the backs of the sets, and they looked like identical sets. When I switched out the main boards, the set came on, and I thought all was ok, then the screen blinked off, then back on a couple of times, and shut down. I noticed that the screen was about half size, both horizontal and vertical.

Nothing I do can change anything about the on-off pattern.

The crazy part is that the main board worked fine in the other set, and seems to be the exact same board, with just a few differences in the model numbers.

I am attaching a set of pictures of the boards in this set. Pictures 1 thru 4 are from the old original set, and pictures 5 thru 8 are from the new set I bought.

If anyone has any idea of what to do to reset this thing, or maybe reload the software or something, please advise me. thanx...........

The main boards are most likely different, different firmware, what are the complete service code numbers of both tv's, should be something like 32LD350-UB.CUSDLH
also what are the part numbers on the barcode labels

I'm not in my shop right now, but I know the old set's service code number is 32ld350-ub.cuswlh. (manf date may-2010) Not sure that I saved the other set's back, front and screen plastic parts. I will try to post the barcode labels of the boards later.

        thanx

I checked on SJ site and I don't think the boards are interchangeable

            LGEEBU61005102 used in 32LD350-UB.CUSWLH
            LGEEBU60850003 used in 32LD350-UB.CUSDLH
Looks like the panels have different manufacture
I found this listing on another site:
Here are what to watch in model code-to understand manufacturer of panel
            XXLDXXX-XX XXXWXXX - LGD panel
XXLDXXX-XX XXXDXXX - AUO panel (Acer Unipac Optronics)
            XXLDXXX-XX XXXMXXX - Sharp panel
            XXLDXXX-XX XXXCXXX - ? TN
            XXLDXXX-XX XXXGXXX - ? TN
            XXLDXXX-XX XXXRXXX - ? TN

            XXLEXXXX-XX XXXWXXX - LGD panel
            XXLEXXXX-XX XXXDXXX - AUO panel
            XXLEXXXX-XX XXXMXXX - Sharp panel

This sounds right, I think I will just sell the boards on flebay and be done with this project.
              thanx for your help.

You might be waiting quite a while for a response, that last reply was over 4 years ago.
