Thank you for confirming, just ordered some from AliExpress, and an ESR meter. I have removed 2 of the suspect capacitors. Sorry for the dumb question but the hole where the leg is soldered to the board has small section of brown is that because I have removed too much of the solder? I was worried I may have damaged the board!

That's a big mistake. You must use flux. You burned that pretty good. As for fixable I don't know since I've never done that. Maybe someone else can tell ya

this nothings to do just solder new one in place..
BUT good to see the circuit.. don't use any caps as yours first questioned on 680uf 10V will work,,,so don't use over rate more than 10V and don't use any over or less 680ufComment

It's not a big deal, you just overheated the pads and they peeled off, you need to add flux or use rosin, old boards used getinax (modern ones made of PCB) and they don't like overheating, clean them with a toothbrush moistened with isopropyl.Last edited by lotas; 09-26-2024, 04:55 PM.Comment

The 2 caps I removed were 680uF 6.3v and 680uF 10v. I have ordered 680uF 10v as a replacement for the 6.3v as I couldnβt see any that were shipped by AliExpress.Comment

Carefully clean (remove the mask (varnish coating)) with the sharp tip of a scalpel, wipe with an ear stick moistened with alcohol and tin the area with solder...Attached FilesComment

Are the brown sections without the solder just the none conductive part of the board?, I think the pad was under the solder so nothing conductive left?

I have replaced both capacitors, the machine powers up and plays videos but the dvd player audio isn't working. When I dub from VHS to DVD no audio can be heard from the VHS, the disc does record the sound though as I finalized the disc and played in another player. Any ideas?Comment

Hi guys got a Corolla factory cd cassette player that was giving a lot of issues. It's from 06 Corolla, my friend the same unit in his corolla and he has the same issues.

Hello. I need help opening the service menu on a Panasonic TC-59R62
Its an old CRT with bad overscan. The top left of the screen is cut out and I need to adjust it. Ive tried multiple methods online ie, holding volume down on the TV then pressing recall (with the 30m timer as well). Nothing I have tried has been able to bring up the menu if there's one at all.
Or is there an adapter I could use to fix this? Trying to use the TV for old retro games but again the top left of the screen is cut out and cant see anything displayed there. -
I picked up a Panasonic NH-P70G2, though it would apply to the NH-P80G2, NH-P70G1 and NH-P80G1 models as well, as maybe some other models. This one was coming up with a H86 error. After lots of testing and googling it was an error with one of the thermistors in the condenser area.
The attached French service manuals is incorrect, TH11 is gray and is a 95k thermistor and TH12 is black and is a 35k thermistor.
In my case TH12 was bad. I was able to get a 35k thermistor on AliExpress. It's 6mm in diameter.
Unfortunately the whole machine has to come apart to fix it.

Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing hereπ€?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting π.
