    Thanks Tom.

Unfortunately the problem persists. I do have a board form a 50" TV and I was wondering if I try to swap the flash memory. the sticker on that memory seems to be the only visible difference between the two boards... but then who knows if the main processor contains the same firmware

EDIT: took the flash memory from the suspect board and soldered it on the 50" TV board, same thing as before. So I'm not one step further as it could even be corrupted data in the memory chip maybe I just replaced ? :-)
If it's the panel... then what on the panel? so weird

If it is the panel it will be the address drivers that are bonded to the glass and are not serviceable.

Believe it or not, I just replaced the whole Y-mains + buffer unit and the picture came on ok. I will post an update if I happen to find the problem on the Y...

for everybody else with the problem, it's located on the Y-buffer. (LJ41-060109A)

no overheating of individual buffers, no shorts, no burnt components but replacing the board with a known working one solves the problem

LG 60PV450 Possible Bad YSUS Need help confirming Diagnosis
            by PlasMatt
I have an LG plasma that after reading through a bunch of posts and doing some testing I believe has a bad YSUS board. The problem is that that doesn't make sense to me for some of the symptoms. The problem started yesterday. While watching a movie the TV just shut down like I pressed power. I have it hooked to a PC and use RS232 to turn it off and on so I thought maybe something had glitched there. I turned it back on and finished the movie with no problems. The same thing happened today so I checked logs to see if something in the control glitched and sent an off command but it didn't, After...

what i went through dealing with my mobo with dead onboard sound!
            by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

Panasonic TH-L42D25A checking the PSU output voltage
            by electron_jj
Hi Everyone, I am new to this forum. I have a Panasonic LED TV which doesnt turn on and is blinking 4 times repeatedly when I turn on the switch. The TV does not respond to the remote control so I had to turn on using the physical switch on the side of the TV. When I turn on the switch the 4 x blinking starts and repeat itself until I turn off the TV. There is a black screen. I turned off the light in the room to check the panel and I think there is no backlight as far as I can tell.

I have been inspecting and testing the capacitors and diodes in the power supply board to try to...

Onkyo HT-R390 no sound output, video output ok
            by FrancescoV
            Good morning everyone,
I'm trying to repair an onkyo ht-r390 that has no sound output, despite the volume being at maximum, the rest seems to work; the video output signal (coming from an hdmi input) is present, but the audio is absent. Similar situation if I send an audio signal from any input I have no output.

The firmware reported is the following:
            M:1.00/11107BLP
            D:?.??/????????
            O:1.00/11107AL

The DSP firmware given the question marks seems corrupt.

On the BCHDM-0678 - 25140678 - QPWBCHDM0678A0 board the chip that usually seems...
